Speaking of early access Walmart's first Black Friday event for 2023 takes place on November 8th, and members will have early access to the deals starting at 12pm ET. Historically, high demand products like gaming consoles have also been locked behind memberships, so if you're in the market for a PS5 Slim, it might come in handy. Odds are Walmart will run additional Black Friday events throughout the month of November.

According to the fine print, the deal is "not available to InHome members or current, paid annual members or members with a current plan through a third party offer other than those offers through YouTube, GamePass & Panera". So if you had a Walmart+ plan previously and cancelled, it seems like you might be able to take advantage of the half price offer as well.

What's new on Paramount+

November will see the expansion of the Yellowstone universe with a new series from Taylor Sheridan and David Oyelowo. Lawmen: Bass Reeves takes place in the old west and follows the story of one of the era's most legendary lawmen. The series is set to make its premiere on November 5th.

If comedy is more your speed, Paramount+ is finally bringing the long-awaited sequel to Good Burger to life. Good Burger 2, which sees Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reprise their roles from the original movie, debuts on November 22nd. The new Pokemon Trading Card Game: Scarlet & Violet 151 expansion launched in the US last month, but if you haven't picked it up yet, now would be the perfect time. The set is currently available here on Amazon and here at Walmart for $98.95, which is 18% off the list price and an all-time low. The deal won't last long, so grab it while you can.

Pokemon's Paradox Rift Revealed

Paradox Rift, the new Pokemon Trading Card Game set introduces the "Ancient" and "Future" keywords to the game, which could be major game-changers. Although neither keyword has any new rules attached, both interact with specific Trainer and Pokemon cards that specifically boost cards with that keyword. Given that the 2022 championship deck used a similar mechanic (based around the Fusion Battle Style), many are expecting that this new set could be a major meta-defining set. The new card set is available to order here on Amazon now.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG has finally released one of the most long-awaited and highly anticipated sets in years. That's right, it's November 3, also known as 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection day. The Rarity Collection is the first TCG release where every card is available in seven different rarities. Previously, rarity collections have been exclusive to the OCG, which has been painful for TCG fans. With this release though this exclusivity has been broken.

The 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection includes 79 different cards, all available in the following rarities: Super Rare, Ultra Rare, Secret Rare, Platinum Secret Rare, Quarter Century Secret Rare, Prismatic Collector's Rare, and Prismatic Ultimate Rare. How this breaks down with each pack is that there are two Super Rares, one Secret Rare, and two Ultra Rares, however, "lucky" pack openers could also find four different "luxury rarities." To this end, the Secret Rare in every pack has 1-in-4 chance of being a Platinum Secret Rare or a Quarter Century Secret Rare, while each Ultra Rare has a 1-in-6 chance of being a Prismatic Collector's Rare or a Prismatic Ultimate Rare. With all these odds accounted for, every pack -- which contains five cards for the price of $4.99 -- has a chance to contain not one, not two, but three of these special rarities.

As for the cards themselves, the Rarity Collection is largely comprised of meta-relevant cards that are currently short printed, and thus are expensive. If you're looking for really old school cards, you won't find them here -- with a few exceptions -- but between the value of the cards and the special rarities, the set is also a great buy for collectors in addition to active players.

It's unclear how widespread the printing of this set is going to be, but the expectation is that demand will be higher than normal, and thus it's possible quantities could run out quickly.

Following the debut of the Diablo IV wave yesterday, and just in time for BlizzCon 2023, McFarlane Toys has revealed what they have in store for the World of Warcraft side of their new partnership with Blizzard. Admittedly, we were a bit disappointed in the decision to produce posed (static) figures for the Diablo wave as opposed to articulated ones and, unfortunately, it's more of the same for WoW. On the plus side, the designs for the 1:12 scale figure-y statue things are pretty solid for both lines, and they come with plenty of accessories like weapons, interchangeable armor pieces, alternate parts, and a display base. Plus, a mystery weapon is included with each.

A breakdown of the entire McFarlane Toys World of Warcraft wave can be found below. Pre-orders were available here at Entertainment Earth immediately after launch and should be available here on Amazon soon. Each figure is priced at $29.99, except the Red Highland Drake and Black Proto-Drake 2-pack, which is $79.99.

BlizzCon 2023 kicks off today, November 3rd, so we should know more about what's coming up next for Diablo 4, World of Warcraft, Overwatch 2 and more by the end of the weekend. Naturally, we'll have all of the info you need right here at ComicBook.

The biggest news on the LEGO Super Mario front right now is the launch of the 71426 Piranha Plant set, but fans will have at least two more expansion sets to collect before 2023 wraps up. The 71430 Penguin Family Snow Adventure Expansion Set and the 71429 Nabbit at Toad's Shop Expansion Set are on the way, and everything you need to know can be found below.

71430 Penguin Family Snow Adventure Expansion Set ($19.99): This 228-piece set includes 3 Super Mario characters - a brick-built penguin, a baby penguin and a Goomba figure with a winter hat. There's also a buildable ice cave, an 'ice' slide that converts into a skating rink, 2 fish figures and a sled. Requires as LEGO Mario, Luigi, or Peach figure from a 71360, 71387 or 71403 Starter Course for interactive play. The set will be available at 12am ET on December 1st here at the LEGO Shop. 71429 Nabbit at Toad's Shop Expansion Set ($19.99): This 230-piece set includes 2 brick-built Super Mario characters - a Yellow Toad and Nabbit toy figure. The set will be available at 12am ET on December 1st here at the LEGO Shop.

LEGO Super Mario

LEGO and Nintendo have been partnering on sets for the last three years now. For the most part, the sets have focused on a Super Mario line that interacts with electronic figures such as Mario, Luigi, and Peach. The sets have adapted characters and locations from various games in the series, including New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Mario 3D World. Over the last few years, those sets have even expanded to focus on Mario-adjacent games, including Luigi's Mansion. In August, several sets based on the SNES Donkey Kong Country series were also released, adding characters like Donkey Kong, Diddy, Dixie, and Funky.

The 71426 Piranha Plant set is about to join the Nintendo x LEGO Super Mario lineup, and we expect it to be one of the most popular releases in the collection to date. It looks great, it's perfect for display, and it isn't absurdly expensive at $59.99 for a 540 piece set. Plus, it doesn't require a LEGO Super Mario starter set for full functionality. The Piranha Plant is a standalone set designed for adults that doesn't include any digital play functions.

However, the LEGO Super Mario Piranha Plant does have plenty analog features including a poseable head, mouth, stalk and leaves. It also includes coin elements that can be inserted into a slot in the back and ejected at the push of a button. Again, it's ideal for display, which makes it like something you would find in LEGO's popular botanical collection, only with a fun Super Mario twist.

If you're willing to bring the deadly Piranha Plant into your home, your chance to get one is coming up fast. It will be available starting on November 5th / 6th at 9pm PT / 12am ET right here at the LEGO Shop. That's early on a Monday morning (don't forget that Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday), but it could definitely sell out, so it might be best to be ready at launch time. If you miss it, don't worry too much. Restocks are expected, and it could wind up here on Amazon as well.

The heroes of the Marvel Universe are yours to command in Fantasy Flight Games' Marvel D.A.G.G.E.R., a cooperative game for one to five players that has a team of heroes attempting to take down the nemesis before they can implement their grand plan. To do that you'll need to utilize your special powers to boost yourself as well as your teammates while also racing against the clock to complete missions before the Threat Limit has been reached. The amount of options and the number of playable heroes are impressive, but there's just something missing in the individuality of those heroes. When coupled with the substantial setup and a few other quirks, the game isn't quite able to reach its full potential, but there's still a lot of fun to be had.

The roster of Marvel D.A.G.G.E.R. is stacked, as you can choose to play as Captain Marvel, Photon, Black Widow (Natasha and Yelena), Iron Man, War Machine, Spider-Man (Peter and Miles), Black Panther (T'Challa and Shuri), Doctor Strange, Brother Voodoo, Captain America (Steve and Sam), Daredevil, Elektra, Hulk, and She-Hulk. That's a fantastic roster of heroes, but how they're implemented is also quite novel.

The Hero Sheets with each character are double-sided, and the Team-Up and Support cards are to be shared between characters. Characters of a similar nature are on either side of a Hero Sheet, so for example, Captain America's Steve and Sam are opposites of the same sheet. You will choose one side to be your character, but if you are taken out during the game, you won't bring that character back. Instead, you will flip the sheet and play as the other character for the rest of the game; since they share Support and Team-Up cards however, and you don't change the Aspect Sheet (more on that in a minute), only the character's core abilities will change.

It's an interesting way to shake things up midway through the game without setting your momentum back, though you might have to shift your strategies depending on the new character's powers. There's also the Aspect Sheet to consider, which represents a trait like Aggression, Protection, Justice, Leadership, Vigilance, and Determination. At the beginning of the game, you can choose any Aspect to go with your hero, though some are obviously better fits than others. They all have the same main core actions, but they differ in how you can boost them, and each sheet features one special passive ability to consider as well.

The amount of variety in characters, how they pair with the various Aspects, and how you interact with your team gives gameplay some welcome depth as far as your own actions, and that increases when you mix in the ability to empower players, prime enemies, use actions at a Base, and utilize Support and Team-Up cards, you've got plenty of options at your disposal.

The problem comes in that the characters more often than not don't really feel all that special. Some are better than others, but I don't see many playing Spider-Man, Captain America, or Doctor Strange and feeling like they are truly those characters. Captain America for instance has one great ability called Intervene, which is available when he's empowered and allows him to move to another hero's space when they are attacked to prevent some damage. That feels like Cap, but the Super-Soldier and Defiant abilities feel like they could really be anyone because they are associated with Priming enemies and Boosting actions, things that are rather commonplace during the game.

That same method is applied to many of the characters, so while there are a lot of options to mix and match, most of them never achieve the desired effect of making you feel like you're in the shoes of one of your favorite heroes. The Support Cards help, but because they are shared between the two heroes, they will always feel tacked on for one of them; plus the Team-Up cards don't push that individuality either for obvious reasons. That leaves the Hero Mission cards, which do help, giving you the option to unlock another strong ability, but you have to complete that mission first, and only one hero can complete their mission at a time. Suffice it to say, I encourage you to get those open early, as they are immensely useful, especially Daredevil's!

That brings us to the enemies you are fighting, including Loki, Ultron, Red Skull, or Thanos as the main nemesis. Marvel D.A.G.G.E.R. also includes several weaker villains to fight, which will make their way to the board through Event Cards that you have to draw every round. Each Nemesis genuinely feels distinct and poses a challenge in a different way, and you'll face each one in a customized showdown to ultimately claim victory.

You'll get more out of the battle experience if you play with at least four players, as more henchmen activate at four players, and that in turn allows you to fulfill some of the missions activated by defeating enemies on the board more quickly. You're consistently trying to complete missions to keep the threat from going over the current limit, but you'll still want to take some actions and unlock support, team-up, and hero missions to get the most out of the game.

At times that makes for a more plodding experience in the early going, but it will pay off as you make your way through the game. That isn't as approachable a method for new players though, and there's significant effort in setting up the game and all its various decks and standees to get the game started in the first place, which is another small hurdle.

Overall Marvel D.A.G.G.E.R. is an entertaining and challenging cooperative experience that features welcome layers of depth and replayability. That said, the stars of the show are supposed to be the heroes, and most of them are missing some of the flair and key elements that would make them feel like the heroes you know and love. Combined with the effort in getting the game to the table and some of the slow-burn nature of early turns, it's not as likely to make it back to my table as other Titles set in that universe.

Hello Kitty Turns 50

If you liked this Hello Kitty collection from Hot Topic, you expect a lot more in 2024. Sanrio has announced a year long celebration for Hello Kitty's 50th anniversary that kicked off on November 1st 2023 and will run through November 1st 2024. Look for new merch to launch and digital content to be available via Sanrio's social channels. New Roblox content is also in the works:

Each figure comes with an interchangeable head, weapons, and display base. However, the most exciting accessory is the mystery weapon that will be included.

What's In Diablo 4 Season 2?

Season 2 is bringing a ton of new stuff into Diablo 4. The new quest line sees players being bitten by a vampire, gaining new powers in the process. The journey to rid the world of the new evil should take most players several hours, providing a fun new story in the world of Sanctuary. Plus, the team has done a revamp of endgame activities, with World Bosses and Legion Events being tuned to happen more frequently. This means it'll be easier for players to fit them into their busy schedules.

On top of that, there are several new endgame bosses who now have their own loot pools. This should make targeted loot hunting much easier than it was at launch. In addition, the team has tweaked drop rates and experience gains to make everything happen slightly faster than it did previously. This is great because there are six new Uniques in Season 2, though you'll need to be on World Tier IV to earn them. Of course, the patch is full of new bug fixes and updates, including some important changes to your stash. The big thing to note here is that Gems will no longer take up stash space, freeing you up to hoard some more of your favorite items for alt characters.

Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 4 Cast

Star Trek: Lower Decks stars "lower decks" crewmembers of the U.S.S. Cerritos Ensign Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome), Ensign Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid), Ensign Tendi (No?l Wells), and Ensign Rutherford (Eugene Cordero). Provisional Ensign T'Lyn (Gabrielle Ruiz) joined the crew in Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 3. The U.S.S. Cerritos' bridge crew includes Captain Carol Freeman (Dawnn Lewis), Commander Jack Ransom (Jerry O'Connell), Lieutenant Shaxs (Fred Tatasciore), and Doctor T'Ana, (Gillian Vigman).

Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty, Solar Opposites) created Star Trek: Lower Decks. In Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 4, "an unknown force is destroying starships and threatening galactic peace. Luckily, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos isn't important enough for stuff like that! Instead, Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, Rutherford, and Provisional Ensign T'Lyn are keeping up with their Starfleet duties, avoiding malevolent computers and getting stuck in a couple caves - all while encountering new and classic aliens along the way."

How to watch Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 4

CBS' Eye Animation Productions, Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment produced Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 4. Secret Hideout's Alex Kurtzman, Roddenberry Entertainment's Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth, and Katie Krentz (219 Productions) are executive producers with showrunner Mike McMahan. Aaron Baiers (Secret Hideout) also serves as an executive producer. Titmouse (Big Mouth) serves as the animation studio for the series.

Star Trek: Lower Decks streams exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Latin America. In Canada, Star Trek: Lower Decks airs on Bell Media's CTV Sci-Fi Channel. Star Trek: Lower Decks will also be available to stream on Paramount+ in the UK, Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and South Korea later this year.

It's hard to believe, but 2024 is right around the corner, so you won't have to wait long to get your hands on the new LEGO Jurassic World sets that are slated for release on January 1st. The hot ticket item will undoubtedly be the 76964 Dinosaur Fossils: T-Rex Skull (577 pieces), which we hope will be the first set in a series. There's also the 76963 Baby Dinosaur Rescue Center playset, which includes 139 pieces.

The Dinosaur Fossils: T-Rex Skull set is actually reasonably priced by LEGO standards at $39.99. It features a T-Rex skull with an opening jaw, a stand with an information plaque, a hidden 'amber' piece at the back of the model and a 'fossilized' footprint. It will be available to order here at the LEGO Shop starting at 12am ET on January 1st.

The Natural History Museum is a two-story structure that includes dual atriums, a removable roof and middle floor. "To the right of the entrance, visitors are welcomed by a giant brick-built Brachiosaurus skeleton. This dinosaur is so large, its neck rises above the first floor and stretches into the second. It's flanked by several smaller exhibits including a sabretooth skull, a fossil, and yes, even dinosaur eggs. Up on the landing, the museum's geology section showcases a colourful array of quartz, geodes, stalagmites and spotlighting a cutaway of the earth and its molten core."

"Heading up to the second floor, witness a large map of the planet showing the projected orbit of a new rocket, a detailed orrery of the solar system, and a diorama of a future space base. Up on the roof, the museum's curator recounts their experiences and travels in their detailed office writing memoirs."

A new Steam deal gives you a game for free. The game in question isn't the latest or greatest release on Steam, but it is a game that has received a warm reception from Steam users. It's also listed as Steam Deck Verified, which means owners of the handheld Valve machine can trust the game runs on the Steam Deck as it should. Meanwhile, this free download specifically saves Steam users from having to spend $5 on Steam to buy the game.

As for the free download, it actually doesn't come from Valve directly, but a third-party, Fanatical, an authorized seller of Steam keys. It regularly gives out free Steam codes for signing up for its newsletter, which costs nothing and can be unsubscribed to whenever. That said this deal -- which gives you a code of Nomad Survival -- can only be had for a limited time.

As alluded to, Steam users received the game warmly when it was released on October 8, 2022. To this end, 89 percent of of 1,441 user reviews for the game are positive, giving the game a "Very Positive" user review score. This is the second highest rating a game can earn on Steam.

"Nomad Survival is an auto-attacking, wave clearing, time-based Roguelite, where you can expect to become stronger as you play through each run as you upgrade your stats," reads an official description of the game. "The gameplay involves waves of enemies from all angles coming to defeat you, with each minute changing what types of enemies may be coming and how they behave in a predictable fashion. You control the movement of your Character, automatically using abilities available to you to defeat your foes, acquiring new abilities (or leveling up old ones) whenever you acquire enough experience to level up."

Stranger Things won't return for its final season on Netflix until 2024, but Stranger Things Day 2023 will help to fill the void on November 6th with new merch, promos, and more. How Will Stranger Things End?

Stranger Things creators, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, recently revealed that their pitch for the fifth season was a tear-jerker.

"Listen. It's our process but it's just like, we really just try to focus on one season at a time," Ross Duffer previously told The Wrap. "We do have an outline for season 5 and we pitched it to Netflix and they really responded well to it. I mean, it was hard. It's the end of the story. I saw executives crying who I've never seen cry before and it was wild. And it's not just to do with the story, just the fact that it's like, Oh my God, this thing that has defined so many of our lives, these Netflix people who has been with us from the beginning, seven years now, and it's hard to imagine the journey coming to an end."

Stranger Things is expected to return for its final season in 2024.

What's Going On With Frozen III?

As Frozen III draws closer, it won't have one of it's biggest creative forces behind the camera. The Wrap confirmed that Jennifer Lee would not be directing the third installment. Lee was the one in the director's chair for the first Frozen. As that original movie celebrates this big anniversary, it's important to remember what a frenzy that release was. Annecy Film Festival this year brought the news from Lee herself. But, she's advising and working on Frozen III as we speak.

"I can't say where we are [with Frozen 3]," Lee told the outlet. "All our stories are driven by the artists in the studio. Where we're going with Frozen did not come from me. It came from an incredible person. That's a new piece, I've told no one. And I've been blown away by it and I'm just having a blast with that team."

"I'm doing what I do with all the other projects," Lee added. "It's really fun on Frozen,...cause we've lived the world for awhile together and a lot of the artists in the studio grew up with that film too, both of them, and have been there the whole way...They kinda own them as much as anyone else."

Lionsgate confirms John Wick 5 is in early development

During Lionsgate's Q4 2023 earnings call in May, Motion Picture Group chairman Joe Drake confirmed that a fifth movie in the John Wick universe remains in early development.

"We're now moving across that franchise, not just in the AAA video game space, but looking at what the regular cadence of spin-offs, television really growing that universe so that there is a steady cadence of a franchise that there's clear appetite by the audience," Drake explained. "What is official is that, as you know, Ballerina is the first spinoff that comes out next year. We're in development on three others, including [John Wick 5] and including television series, The Continental, will be airing soon. And so, we're building out the world and when that five movie comes, will be organic -- will be organically grown out of how we're starting to tell those stories. But you can rely on a regular cadence of John Wick."

What's in the Dungeons & Dragons Minecraft DLC?

Once you load into the module, which launched a few weeks back, you'll be greeted with an all-new interface that includes a quest log, specialized inventory, and even a glossary. On top of that, this pack has the most voiceover work of any licensed Minecraft pack and even has music that triggers when you do certain things. There are also role-playing mechanics that include a class system, stats, and even dice-based combat.

Of course, this is still a Minecraft game. While Mojang and Everbloom are bringing in elements from tabletop RPGs, this DLC pack isn't going to completely change how Minecraft works. That said, if you're looking to incorporate some Magic Missiles into your Minecraft sandbox, this is the most complete way to do that. Just don't expect to host your next D&D session in Minecraft or anything like that.

The Natural History Museum is a two-story structure that includes dual atriums, a removable roof and middle floor. "To the right of the entrance, visitors are welcomed by a giant brick-built Brachiosaurus skeleton. This dinosaur is so large, its neck rises above the first floor and stretches into the second. It's flanked by several smaller exhibits including a sabretooth skull, a fossil, and yes, even dinosaur eggs. Up on the landing, the museum's geology section showcases a colourful array of quartz, geodes, stalagmites and spotlighting a cutaway of the earth and its molten core."

How Many Mattel Movies Are In the Works?

According to a new report from The New Yorker, there are a total of 45 Mattel-related movies in the process of getting made, including (but not limited to) Barney, Hot Wheels, Polly Pocket, and He-Man. Other projects that have been announced to be in development over the years include American Girl, Big Jim, Chatty Cathy and Betsy Wetsy, Magic 8 Ball, Matchbox, Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots, Thomas & Friends, Uno, View-Master, and Wishbone.

"Barbie is one of the most iconic franchises in the world and we are excited to partner with Warner Bros. Pictures and Margot Robbie to bring her to life on the big screen," Ynon Kreiz, Chairman and CEO of Mattel, said in a statement when the film took shape. "We look forward to building on this collaboration with Warner Bros. Pictures as we tell the stories of our beloved brands. Mattel Films is on a path to demonstrate the enormous potential of our brand portfolio, as we continue to execute on our strategy of transforming Mattel into an IP-driven, high performing toy company."

GameStop has a crazy deal on a popular PS5 horror game for Halloween that makes said game just $5. Considering the game normally costs $70 on the PlayStation Store, this represents a savings of $65. That said, if you have PS Plus, the game is currently free, which may partially explain why GameStop is practically giving away its PS5 stock of the game. Whatever the case, if you don't own the game, and you don't have PS Plus, then you can currently grab it for dirt cheap, as long as supplies last.

As for the game, it debuted back on December 2, 2022 via developer Striking Distance Studios and publisher Krafton, the former notably being helmed, at the time, by Glen Schofield, the creator of Dead Space. If you haven't connected the dots yet, the mystery game is Callisto Protocol, which unfortunately was not nearly as good as Dead Space, despite selling millions of copies which could suggest otherwise. That said, a new PS5 copy on GameStop right now is $5 so if you've ever been interested in checking out the game, now is a great time to do so as it's unlikely to be this cheap for several years.

"In this narrative-driven, third-person survival horror game set 300 years in the future, the player will take on the role of Jacob Lee - a victim of fate thrown into Black Iron Prison, a maximum-security penitentiary located on Jupiter's moon, Callisto," reads an When inmates begin to transform into monstrous creatures, the prison is thrown into chaos. To survive, Jacob must battle his way to safety to escape Black Iron Prison, while uncovering the dark and disturbing secrets buried beneath the surface of Callisto. Using a unique blend of shooting and close-quarters combat, Jacob will need to adapt his tactics to combat the rapidly evolving creatures while scavenging to unlock new weapons, gear, and abilities to outrun the growing threat and escape the horrors of Jupiter's Dead Moon."

If you do decide to buy the game for $5 through GameStop, you will get a game that is 10 to 15 hours long. How good is this 10 to 15 hours? Well, as alluded to, the game received a mixed reception at launch. To this end, the PS5 version of the game has a 69 on Metacritic.

"The Callisto Protocol isn't necessarily bad, but it doesn't do much to verify why survival-horror fans wanted these types of games back in the first place," reads a snippet from our own review of the game. "With a bit more depth to its various systems and mechanics, The Callisto Protocol could have been far more enjoyable from start to finish. Instead, my main takeaway from Callisto has simply been that I'm now that much more excited to play a number of other survival-horror games that are set to release in 2023."

Last year, Razer revealed a partnership with Marvel that would begin with a Xbox controller inspired by the new Captain America, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie). The design of the controller is based on Sam's suit, and the charging stand is based on Captain America's iconic shield as they appeared in in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Solider.

What Will The Mandalorian Season 4 Be About?

The Mandalorian Season 3 ending (SPOILERS) saw the series get something of a reset, following the quest to reclaim the Mandalorian homeworld of Mandalore, and the defeat of Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito). Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) formally adopted his "son" Din Grogu, officially making Baby Yoda a true Mandalorian Foundling. However, while Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) relit the Great Forge of Mandalore and set the foundations of a new unified tribe on the planet, Mando and Grogu set up a home for themselves on planet Nevarro, where Grogu will formally begin his Mandalorian training and Mando will work for the New Republic off the books, hunting down Imperial remnants in the Outer Rim Territories.

There's been a lot of speculation that the next season of The Mandalorian will have a premise that will also open the door toward bringing The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka series together for the big MandoVerse event film that Dave Filoni is helming.

During Friday's 10/27 streaming event, Hasbro unveiled three new Marvel Legends retro cardback figures of Scarlet Spider, Last Stand Spider-Man, and and Jack O' Lantern. Over the weekend at MCM London Comic Con 2023, they added three more - Spider-Shot, Tombstone, and Hallow's Eve. It's been a busy month for Hasbro to say the least.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Is Here

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is available worldwide via the PS5 and the PS5 only. There is currently no concrete word of any DLC or a follow-up, however, if the former exists it will likely be revealed very soon given the timeline of the first game's DLC.

"Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is finally here and it's a bigger, better sequel in almost every single way," reads the opening of our official review of the game. "Although it comes with some caveats, Insomniac Games continues to prove it understands Spider-Man across both gameplay and story. There are few developers capable of giving this much depth to a character that has been around for this long and had this many stories, but Insomniac finds a way to make it all feel fresh."

The set includes Die Hard, Die Hard II: Die Harder, Die Hard with a Vengeance, and the PG-13-rated and unrated versions of Live Free or Die Hard and A Good Day to Die Hard. Note that the 30th anniversary 4K UHD Blu-ray release of the original Die Hard is currently 40% off here on Amazon.

Speaking of anniversaries, the original Die Hard film from director by John McTiernan and starring Bruce Willis as John McClane was released on July 15th 1988. That means that the film just crossed the 35 year mark, and with each passing year, fans continue to debate whether or not the film is a Christmas movie. In 2022, San Diego Board of Supervisors chairman Nathan Fletcher took the steps required to officially make the film a bonafide holiday movie within San Diego County.

"I know there are a few individuals out there who say Die Hard isn't a Christmas movie and it just took place on Christmas Eve. That's simply not the case. Die Hard is unquestionably a Christmas movie," Fletcher said in a video posted to Twitter. "Not only does the entire movie take place on Christmas Eve, not only is it infused with incredible Christmas music throughout including one of the greatest Christmas songs of all time in Run-DMC's 'Christmas in Hollis,' it's all full of the symbolism and pageantry: the exchange of gifts, the Santa attire, and the wrapping. At its core, it's about family. It's about being with those you love."

He added, "It's about what you do to make sure kids have a wonderful Christmas morning and the hero of this movie, the wonderful Detective John McClane and his wife Holly-I should point out her name is Holly-will go to anything to make sure their Christmas is realized, to make sure [McClane] and his wife and kids can all be together on Christmas morning."

A new Steam deal gives you popular AAA games for just $1 a game, however, you need to buy all five to get them at this price. In other words, you need to fork over $5, and in return, you will get five popular, albeit older, AAA games from WB Games. Better yet, the deal, which comes the way of Humble Bundle, is raising money for charity. More specifically, proceeds will go to the International Medical Corps, which "provides lifesaving healthcare and supplies to children, families, and communities that have lost everything due to conflict, disaster, and disease in countries worldwide." So far, the bundle has raised $44,083 for charity.

It will include chain and guitar accessories as well as an alternate head. Note that McFarlane Toys previously released a standalone DC Rebirth Lobo figure, but this set comes with the bike, the additional accessories and, most importantly, Dawg.

Will Jason Momoa Play Lobo in the DC Universe?

James Gunn and Peter Safran were asked if Momoa would be playing multiple characters in the new DC Universe -- a rumor that had surfaced in recent months along with rumors that the actor could be playing Lobo in DC Studios' new cinematic world. According to Gunn, however, Momoa will not be playing two characters.

"Jason will not play two characters despite what you guys might think," Gunn said, before adding that she's "really happy" with the actor.

Safran went a little further, suggesting that things are still undecided about several things -- including a third Aquaman film -- but that there are no plans for the actor to play two characters.

"It's too early. Listen, he definitely... Jason always thought Aquaman was a trilogy, in his own mind," Safran said. "But listen, he loves Lobo. He's been very clear about that, too. He's never going to play two characters, but no decisions have been made."

"We'll figure it out after Aquaman 2," Gunn added.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be released exclusively in theaters on December 25th.

Matchmaking events and fashion collections are not the only things that Studio Ghibli fans are excited about these days. Hayao Miyazaki's latest film The Boy and the Heron will arrive in the USA and Canada on December 8th.

If you are not familiar with The Boy and the Heron, you should know the movie was first announced by Studio Ghibli in 2017. This came after Miyazaki had announced his retirement from film, but The Boy and the Heron convinced him to return to work. After a series of delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Boy and the Heron debuted in July 2023 without any promotional campaigns. Now, Miyazaki's new coming-of-age tale is gearing up for a global launch. You can check out a trailer for the film right here. A synopsis reads:

When does the next episode of Chucky come out?

There is no official word on when the next four episodes of Chucky season 3 will be released, and as we know production was nearly finished on episodes 5 & 6. As a result, only once the SAG-AFTRA strike has concluded can production resume on Chucky, with filming then set to begin on the final episodes. The wait for Chucky season 3 episodes will continue even after that point though as post-production will need to take place for the episodes before they can air.

Where is Chucky streaming?

The first two seasons of Chucky are available for streaming on two different platforms, both Peacock and Shudder. All sixteen episodes of the series, including both seasons 1 and 2, can be streamed on each of these services. Unlike previous seasons of Chucky however, wherein the entire season would have to premiere on cable before it began streaming, the new episodes of Chucky season 3 will be available for streaming the next day. After Chucky season 3's episodes air on SYFY and USA Network on Wednesdays, they'll be available to stream the very next day on Peacock.

Pre-orders for The Expanse: The Complete Series Blu-ray are live here on Amazon now priced at $71.90 (10% off). We might see an even bigger discount before the release date, but keep in mind that pre-order customers will automatically get the lowest price offered during this period. Details on special features weren't available at the time of writing, but we expect that it will be jam-packed. At this point we do know that it's a 15-disc set and that it clocks in at 2828 minutes.

The Expanse series concluded its 6 season run in 2022. Speaking to ComicBook.com, star Steven Strait looked back on his experience playing James Holden on the show.

"I'm so immensely proud of the work that we've done," Strait said. "I'm grateful that we were able to finish the story, that we have a complete beginning, middle, and end. I've always said with this show that it's felt more like a theater company than a television show. And I've never experienced the level of commitment from everybody involved for so long because they felt the work was as important as The Expanse has been for us."

Will The Expanse Get a Season 7?

The last season of The Expanse took time to set up the next chapter of the story, covered in the final three books of James S.A. Corey's series of novels. Strait can't offer any solid information about what future The Expanse might have, he reminds fans that anything is possible, especially with this show. "Six [seasons] was always the plan," he says. "That was the logical endpoint for what we started out to make. What Alcon does with the property, I know that they're very committed to it. It would be wonderful to bring the folks back together to do that piece of the story, which is continuous and it's also kind of not, it's kind of its own thing. I don't have any news for you, unfortunately, but if anything, the show has proven that you never know. We've shown that with the death and rebirth of this show time and again. We'll see."

Hasbro's classic Monopoly has morphed yet again, this time into a more physical experience that is something like a cross between a board game and shuffleboard. In Monopoly Knockout, Ppayers will take turns sliding their tokens down a 3-foot long gameboard with the goal of landing them on properties. You can also knock other player's tokens into Jail or off the board altogether. A the end of each round, you'll collect or pay cash based on where the tokens ended up. The latest Marvel X-Men Comic Cover Funko Pop returns to the 1991 issue of X-Men #1, though this time around it's based on Jim Lee's iconic gatefold cover featuring Magneto. "It's been fun," Reynolds said of Deadpool 3 to ET Canada. "He and I are both really excited. We've wanted to do this for a decade. So, to have this opportunity now is, I think actually weirdly, the perfect time... I never stopped (trying to recruit Jackman). I was just pestering him like a gnat over the last many years. I actually just think... I believe in timing, as much as hard work and luck and all those intersections that are supposed to meet, timing is a big one as well, and I think he was ready. I think he was excited and what we pitched him was enough of a divergence from the character that he knows and the character that he's left behind, that it gives him something completely new to play and something that he's really excited to do."

Why Del Toro Didn't Direct Pacific Rim 2

"We were getting ready to do it, it was different from the first, but it had a continuation of many of the things that I was trying to do, Del Toro began. "Then what happened is--I mean, this is why life's crazy, right?--they had to give a deposit for the stages at 5pm or we would lose the stages in Toronto for many months. So, I said, 'Don't forget we're gonna lose the stages,' and five o'clock came and went, and we lost the stages. They said, 'Well, we can shoot it in China.' And I go, 'What do you mean we?' [Laughs] 'I've gotta go do Shape of Water.'"

Del Toro then explained why he still hasn't seen the final Pacific Rim Uprising project for himself noting how much changed from his original plans for the sequel, "I didn't see the final movie because that's like watching home movies from your ex-wife. It is terrible if they're good and worse if they're bad, or the opposite. You don't wanna know. So, I didn't see it. I did read the final script, and it was very different. Some of the elements were the same but very different."

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem Sequel Plans

Speaking in recent interview with ComicBook.com, we asked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman if there were any other elements or characters from TMNT he hopes to see on the big screen. He revealed that luckily they've been fortunate to have that with one of the shows, but the potential for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem's sequel is very clear.

"Through the experience of the Nickelodeon 2012 animated series, which just wonderfully brought in some original concepts from the original cartoon series to all the elements, the Tricetons had such a big role in there. So we've been lucky enough to experience this in so many ways and so many opportunities. I look forward to seeing where the sequels to Mutant Mayhem are going to go; not just the series, but the next movie because, you know, you've got Casey Jones waiting in the wings. You've got Krang out there, and you've got the Rock Soldiers and Neutrinos. So I'm, I'm pretty pumped.

Regarding the inclusion of those new characters though, Eastman revealed how one of the film's biggest twists on the TMNT mythology ended up becoming one of his favorites parts of the entire thing. He adds:

"I want to point out the original concept of having the other mutants be born from the same source, the same well, if you will, as the turtles, it really was just a wonderfully unique idea. When you have that moment where they're like, 'There's more of us?' it's like sort of we're not alone. It really resonated on so many levels. That just, it was one of my favorite of many parts of this movie."

One of the most iconic pieces of music in horror history is "Tubular Bells" as made famous by the original The Exorcist, and 50 years later, the franchise has been revived with The Exorcist: Believer, which similarly aimed to unsettle audiences with its musical cues. The score for the sequel was developed by David Wingo, which includes all-new tracks as well as reimaginings of the seminal "Tubular Bells," crafting a musical experience that not only honors the past but also injects the picture with an entirely fresh sound. Fans of the film can pre-order the vinyl release of The Exorcist: Believer Original Motion Picture Soundtrack from Waxwork Records now, which is expected to ship in February 2024. The Exorcist: Believer is in theaters and on Digital HD now.

In 2010 he scored Jeff Nichols' Take Shelter, and has since scored all of Nichols' films, including the forthcoming Bikeriders starring Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, and Jodie Comer. Wingo has transitioned into television over the last several years, providing the score for FX's Mayans MC, Showtime's Kidding, and HBO's Emmy Award-winning Barry, for which he received an Emmy Nomination in 2019 for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series."

LEGO has announced its first ever set inspired by Frank Herbert's Dune series, and it comes straight out of Denis Villeneuve's new film adaptation starring Timoth?e Chalamet as Paul Atreides. Not surprisingly, the inspiration for the first set is the Atreides Royal Ornithopter with its flapping dragonfly-style blades.

The LEGO Icons Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter (10327) set is a 1,369-piece build that features blades that can flap and retract with a 180-degree rotation. It also features foldable landing gear and eight all-new LEGO Minifigures of Paul Atreides, Lady Jessica, Gurney Halleck, Chani, Leto Atreides, Liet Kynes, Duncan Idaho and Baron Harkonnen. As you can see from the close-up below, that Baron Harkonnen minifig makes this set worth it all by itself.

What Is Dune: Part Two About?

Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee. Dune: Part Two is expected to also see the return of Zendaya as Chani, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Javier Bardem as Stilgar.

New characters will include Lea Seydoux as Margot Fenring, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, and Christopher Walker playing Emperor Shaddam IV.

Dune: Part Two is currently scheduled to be released on March 15, 2024.

The folks at Mattel have made the natural transition from a Stevie Nicks Barbie doll earlier this month to Ted Lasso. That's right - this is your chance to have Ted spark a romance with Stevie Nicks! Or you can be boring and go with the Rebecca Welton or Keeley Jones dolls that were also released today as part of the collection. Then again, a lot of fans really want that Ted and Rebecca relationship.

A breakdown of the Ted Lasso Barbie doll collection can be found below. They are expected to launch here on Amazon in the near future with dolls priced at $50 each. You might also find them here at Walmart. The lineup was officially slated to debut here at the Mattel Shop today, October 24th, but the dolls are unavailable at the time of writing. Will Ted Lasso Get a Season 4?

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Emmy-winning director Declan Lowney was recently asked about the potential future of Ted Lasso. The Season 3 finale definitely operates as a series finale, but it also plants some seeds for potential stories to continue in the future. There's been no definitive word from Apple TV+ either way.

"Everybody knew it was the end, but it's also the end for now," Lowney said with a laugh. "It's going to be two or three years before anything happens - if anything happens - so let's try and tie up all these stories properly. I'm trying to remember how the script was delivered, because I've a feeling I might have gotten a big chunk of it, and then there'd be more coming - but I didn't know how much more yet. I was like, 'There's a lot of tying up to do!' And then Jason [Sudeikis] gave me the remaining pages and it was like, 'Ah! That's what he's doing here.' But it is very hard to stand back and say, 'Shit, guys ... there's 80 pages here.' We shot it as we went along, and it's very hard to gauge these things until you put it all together. Six weeks later, something else appears at the other end [in the edit], but it's also about 10 minutes shorter than it was."

What Will The Mandalorian Season 4 Be About?

The Mandalorian Season 3 ending (SPOILERS) saw the series get something of a reset, following the quest to reclaim the Mandalorian homeworld of Mandalore, and the defeat of Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito). Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) formally adopted his "son" Din Grogu, officially making Baby Yoda a true Mandalorian Foundling. However, while Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) relit the Great Forge of Mandalore and set the foundations of a new unified tribe on the planet, Mando and Grogu set up a home for themselves on planet Nevarro, where Grogu will formally begin his Mandalorian training and Mando will work for the New Republic off the books, hunting down Imperial remnants in the Outer Rim Territories.

There's been a lot of speculation that the next season of The Mandalorian will have a premise that will also open the door toward bringing The Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka series together for the big MandoVerse event film that Dave Filoni is helming.

What Is Dave Filoni's Star Wars Movie About?

While details on Filoni's Star Wars movie are still relatively slim -- including the movie's release date -- we do know that it will be set during the New Republic era, and will have an epic event quality to it.

"Jon [Favreau] and I have our own little theater that we've been playing in, but Star Wars is a big galaxy. I think there's a lot of possibilities, but we do things our own way," Filoni told ComicBook.com earlier this year. "I think of, you know, A New Hope is an important moment in the timeline. The Death Star blows up. That changes everything ... A cinematic moment for this time period has to be a moment that's changing things and we understand it as the audience and then it can ripple down if we have other shows going on underneath that. So if there was a show taking place in the New Hope time period that you were watching as a kid, you would understand that things have changed in the show because the Death Star blew up. But they didn't necessarily need to be there. So there's a ton of possibilities for how to tell these stories in a unique way for Star Wars as well."

The first three seasons of Star Wars: The Mandalorian are streaming on Disney+ now.

The Monster High franchise began in 2010 with Mattel's fashion doll line. The first animated movie, Monster High: New Ghoul at School, was also released that year and followed by Monster High: Fright On! in 2011. There has since been a total of 15 animated films before the live-action version was released last year. A sequel to the film and the animated series are on the way.

What Is Monster High 2 About?

Monster High 2 follows Clawdeen Wolf (Miia Harris), Draculaura (Nayah Damasen) and Frankie Stein (Ceci Balagot) as they enter sophomore year at Monster High. What is The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria?

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria puts players in the shoes of a group of dwarves trying to take back their homeland and restore the ancient kingdom of Khazad-d?m. The game uses a procedurally generated version of Moria to keep things fresh, and players need to use a mix of survival and crafting mechanics to survive. That means they'll be building tools, weapons, and shelters for their dwarves, while also fighting off orcs, cave trolls, and all kinds of other beasties.

Importantly, you'll be able to team up with up to eight other players in your quest in cooperative multiplayer. In many ways, it almost seems like a more medieval take on Deep Rock Galactic. Obviously, with The Lord of the Rings license, there are several differences from that hit game, but it certainly feels like the team took inspiration from Ghost Ship Games' hit game.

As far as the IP timeline goes, Return to Moria is set during the Fourth Age of Middle-earth, just after the events of The Lord of the Rings. That means Sauron has been taken down by the Fellowship, and players will get to see how that affects the orc population in Moria.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria launches on PC on October 24. It will then come to PS5 on December 5 and Xbox Series X/S sometime next year.

New Lord of the Rings Movies Are On The Way

Last August, the IP rights for The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit were purchased by Embracer Group, with plans to extend the franchise even further. Prior to that purchase, Prime Video developed the first season of a television show in the franchise, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which has already been greenlit for a second season. Additionally, Warner Bros. Discovery has announced plans to create new Lord of the Rings movies, which will debut at a later date.

"I am truly excited to have The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, one of the world's most epic fantasy franchises join the Embracer family, opening up more transmedia opportunities including synergies across our global group," said Lars Wingefors, Founder and Group CEO Embracer Group, at the time. "I am thrilled to see what lies in the future for this IP with Freemode and Asmodee as a start within the group.
