Veterans Day is Saturday, November 11th, and it's a holiday dedicated to honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Since the holiday is right around the corner, director James Gunn and the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are auctioning off a signed poster on eBay with all net proceeds going to support Homes For Our Troops, Inc. Gunn shared the link today, and at the time of this writing, the bidding is currently up to $5,100.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Set a World Record:

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 set the record for the most makeup appliances used in a single film with more than 23,000 prosthetics used across more than 1,000 actors. For comparison, there were 1,200 prosthetics used in the first Guardians of the Galaxy. Before Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 beat the record, it was held by The Grinch for over 20 years.

"We always knew that it was going to be a lot because when you're reading the script, and you're designing the characters you're kind of like, 'This could be a big movie...' I don't think any of us truly understood the sheer volume of work that was done until we were there," Legacy FX co-founder Lindsay MacGowan told Deadline.

Chris Pratt Almost Gave Up On Marvel:

Earlier this year, Pratt appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and revealed he almost gave up on auditioning for Marvel before Guardians.

"I auditioned for Thor, but not even to be Thor - but to be one of the sidekick guys, and I didn't get a callback," Pratt shared. "Usually they give you a little bit of feedback, and I remember the casting director goes, 'Wow. You really made a big choice there.' Which is code for like, 'Hey, dial back the acting there, guy.'" He added, "It got to the point where I was never gonna audition for Marvel again ... I was like, 'This is stupid, I'm never gonna be in a Marvel movie.'"

"I mean, all of them," Pratt said when asked which Marvel projects he auditioned for. "Anything that came out that needed a guy that even remotely looked like me, I auditioned for in some way or another. And I would either submit a tape and they would say 'No, we don't need to see him,' or I would get there and see them, they'd go, 'No, that's the last time we need to see you."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now streaming on Disney+.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has fully brought Jogo into the big fights of the Shibuya Incident arc at last, and one awesome cosplay is helping to burn it all down with the Special Grade Cursed Spirit! How to Catch Up With Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has reached a pivotal phase of the Shibuya Incident arc as it won't be much longer until fans get to see its fiercest fights take shape, and Jogo's in one of them as he prepares to face Sukuna. You can currently catch up with everything that's happened in Jujutsu Kaisen's first two seasons so far (and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie) now streaming with Crunchyroll if you wanted to get up to speed before the new episodes continue. There's nothing quite like the disappointment when a beloved product is discontinued -- especially when it's food -- and for fans of pasta brand Ronzoni's Pastina, 2023 kicked off on a sad note. In January, the brand announced that the beloved, tin star-shaped pasta was being discontinued and fans quickly took to social media to express their sadness about the loss of what was, for many, an important culinary staple. But now, The Hunger Games and Searching for Italy star Stanley Tucci is stepping to save the day. Earlier this week, S. Pellegrino Sparkling Natural Mineral Water -- whose logo just so happens to be a star -- announced that they are teaming up with Tucci to revive pastina as part of a limited-edition star-shaped pasta and recipe kit just in time for the holidays.

According to the brand, they've collaborated with Italian pasta brand Rummo for S. Pellegrino Stelline pasta, which pays homage to the brand's iconic red star logo while also giving them that tiny, star-shape pasta fans so love that's been part of Italian and American tables for decades. The pasta is available as part of the S. Pellegrino Presents: Stanley Tucci's Stelline Two Ways premium recipe kit which includes fresh ingredients, premium Italian products, two bags of the pasta, and a bottle of S. Pellegrino so that fans can recreate two of Tucci's personal recipes featuring the pasta.

"I had so much fun sharing a taste of my family's recipes with S. In other recent food news, with November ushering in the start of the holiday seasons, we're seeing a variety of interesting seasonal food and treat offerings. Earlier this week, Campbells debuted their new Holiday Sides Collection of chocolates with Phillip Ashley Chocolates. The collection features six truffles each inspired by beloved holiday side dishes and created with Campbell's soups. Eggo also announced their own seasonal offering with the return of Eggo Nog. The drink, which first debuted last year in partnership with Sugarlands Distilling Co., is back for a second year and is described as a decadent, rum-based liqueur with cinnamon and nutmeg flavor notes.

Taraja Ramsess, a stuntman known for his work on Avengers: Endgame and Black Panther, has passed away at age 41. The tragic news broke earlier this week that Ramsess was killed alongside two of his children on Halloween night in a car accident in Atlanta, Georgia. The news was initially reported by local affiliate WSB-TV. Ramsess died along with his 13-year-old daughter, Sundari, and 1-month-old daughter, Fugibo, after their car hit a tractor-trailer that had broken down on the highway. Ramsess' 10-year-old son is also in critical condition while his other 3-year-old child was hospitalized. A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family, which you can view here.

"Akili Ramsess, a dear friend and colleague to so many, lost her eldest son, the beautiful and talented Taraja, and two of her grandchildren - Taraja's 13-year-old daughter Sundari and 8-week-old daughter Fujibo - in a horrific traffic accident on Oct. 31. Her 10-year-old grandson, Kisasi is on life support, continuing to fight. We are not sure what her immediate needs are, but we know there will be many. Anyone who knows Akili knows that her greatest joys are her three boys and 10 grandchildren. Her love and devotion to her family knows no limits," the GoFundMe reads.

"We will continue to update this posting with more information as it becomes available and as Akili and her family are ready to release it. I know you share our feelings that this devastating loss is unfathomable, and we are just trying to take a first step in helping Akili down the very long road ahead. Please give what you can."

Ramsess' filmography also included stunt work on Avengers: Infinity War, Black Lightning, Bad Boys For Life, The Suicide Squad, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Atlanta, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Creed III, and They Cloned Tyrone. He also worked in the art department on various projects with a focus on props and set dressing. His credits included Halloween II (2009), The Vampire Diaries, Fast Five, Teen Wolf, The Walking Dead, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and Furious 7.

Ramsess' friend Tony Tucci spoke to WSB-TV about the accident.

"When I first heard about it, I broke down," Tucci said. "I had to sit down ... He was always a family man. They would come and sit and watch him train, and they would jump in and start training to."

"He was always sharing his experiences, happy and glad to be part of that community," Tucci added. "During the screening of Black Panther, he couldn't stop talking about it. He was so happy to be a part of it."

Our thoughts are with Ramsess' friends and family at this difficult time.

While most people think of November as being a big month for food because it's the kickoff of the holiday season and, at least for Americans, is when perhaps the biggest food-oriented holiday -- Thanksgiving -- is celebrated, there's more to the second-to-last month of the year than just turkey and all the fixin's. Thursday also features National Pickle Day, celebrated this year on Tuesday, November 14th. It's the day when fans of all things pickle celebrate by indulging in in the sometimes sweet, but often tart and tangy treat and this year, Jimmy John's is celebrating in a big way themselves. The restaurant, which is known for not just their sandwiches but their tasty dill pickles as well, just added the limited-edition Pickle Jimmy Chips to their menu.

According to Jimmy John's, the new chips were designed specifically for National Pickle Day and feature a balance of salt, sour, and dill notes meant to capture the perfect pickle flavor. The chips come after years of fan request for a pickle-flavored chip option to go along with the brand's famous Jumbo Kosher Dill Jimmy Pickles. The new chips are available now and will be available through November 26th while supplies last. Fans can also head to Jimmy John's Online store for more pickle-fan merch, including a new Jimmy John's Pickle Sweatshirt and more.

Pickles Are Having a Major Food Moment

While Jimmy John's is celebrating National Pickle Day with new Pickle Chips, pickles are having a major food trend moment this year overall. Earlier this year, Frank's RedHot introduced Dill Pickle Hot Sauce and last month, Vlasic announced that they'd teamed up with Frank's RedHot for three new hot and spicy Kosher Dill Pickle offerings: Dill Chips, Dill Spears, and Dill Wholes. The pickles are hitting store shelves now.

"The pairing of two iconic brands - Vlasic and Frank's RedHot - is a spicy combo that we know consumers will love," said Lucy Brady, President, Grocery and Snacks, Conagra Brands. "The Vlasic brand is synonymous with great-tasting pickles, and the addition of Frank's RedHot creates a truly bold and flavorful snacking experience."

Chuck E. Cheese held the company's first-ever live press conference today, where an animatronic Chuck E. Cheese announced Munch's Make Believe Band would take up a residency at the company's location in Northridge, California, near Los Angeles. Speaking alongside fellow members of the Make Believe Band -- featuring Mr. Munch on keyboards, Jasper T. Jowls on guitar, Helen Henny on vocals, and Pasqually on drums -- Chuck E. revealed that they will be headlining an exclusive, permanent residency at the Northridge Chuck E. Cheese, bringing the iconic act back out of retirement, even if most customers will never get to see them.

Northridge will become the nation's only Chuck E. Cheese fun center to feature an original animatronic band. The company hopes that the daily performances combined with modern upgrades and new experiences for guests, they can make the Northridge location a destination for fans of all ages - past and present.

"As an important part of the legacy of the brand, we know that the animatronic band holds a special place for many fans in their childhood memories," David McKillips, President and CEO of Chuck E. Cheese parent company, CEC Entertainment said. "We want our fans to know that the decision to keep the band here is meant as a gesture of love and gratitude as our legacy continues to evolve in new ways."

"We love performing so much, it's practically hard-wired into us," Chuck E. joked. That was representative of the humor that was on diplay throughout, with jokes about printer jams, recharging, and the like.

While the band will perform daily at the Northridge location, a brand-new experience will also be introduced there. The company said in a statement that they have been busy renovating fun centers nationwide with updated features to offer multi-activity options for all ages. New enhancements include a new state-of-the-art interactive dance floor, a giant video wall and screens, popular kid-focused arcade games, and new trampolines zones in select fun centers around the nation.

As the Company updates its look and feel in more than 400 locations nationally, the Northridge location is a special exception the Company is making for the fans nostalgic of the legendary Munch's Make Believe Band. To commemorate the "Legacy and New" concept coming together, Chuck E. Cheese Northridge will host a Grand Re-Opening Party on November 10 from 6-8 p.m., with a special media preview event from 4-6 p.m. and then welcome guests from 6-8.

Guests will enjoy a special appearance from the founder of Chuck E. Cheese and Atari, Inc., Nolan Bushnell, alongside with current President and CEO, David McKillips, to talk about the legacy and future plans for the entertainment company.

"Chuck E. Cheese is and was an essential part of growing up," Bushnell said in a statement. "It has had an enormous impact on how families have fun, providing a place where kids and adults alike could be entertained - from animatronic shows tailored more for the adults, to games and prizes for the kids. It's great that the original animatronic band will remain in residency at the Northridge location while the other locations offer experiences and create memories with the new vision."

The event from 6-8 on November 10 will welcome families and guests from all over the country, and as is usual with every grand re-opening event, the first 25 families at 6 p.m. will get one (1) free hour of All You Can Play time. All attendees will have the chance to win prizes like a free Chuck E. Cheese birthday party or a VIP play band loaded with one full year of unlimited All You Can Play time. All attendees will enjoy free cake, a special performance by the band, and a free collector's poster. Plus, fans who present and exchange their old Chuck E. Cheese tokens will receive an exclusive commemorative pin.

Finally, serving as emcee for the event, Logan Carreiro, who is a super fan of Chuck E. Cheese animatronics, will be named Chief Entertainment Officer (CEC, get it?) for the day. This is the start of what the company promises will be a number of nostalgic announcements leading up to the brand's 50th anniversary in 2027.

HBO won't deny reports that executives within the company engaged in online trolling of movie critics, including Rolling Stone and Vulture writers who were less-than-impressed with recent projects. According to a lawsuit, pieces of which leaked earlier in the week, HBO and Max chief Casey Bloys directed subordinates to create sock puppet accounts on Twitter to insult and argue with prominent critics. The allegations made their way to Rolling Stone, who published them yesterday.

The lawsuit comes from former HBO executive assistant Sully Temori, who claims wrongful termination. The exact nature of Temori's broader claims and termination have been overshadowed so far by very strong evidence that Bloys and at least one other HBO executive controlled an "army" of fake accounts that would be deployed to combat critics.

"HBO intends to vigorously defend against Mr. Temori's allegations," a spokesperson for the network said. "We are not going to comment on select exchanges between programmers and errant tweets."

Temori's lawsuit includes what appears to be numerous screenshots between himself, Kathleen McCaffrey, HBO's senior vice president of drama programming, and Francesca Orsi, HBO's head of drama. When he launched the lawsuit in July, The Hollywood Reporter says Temori launched it as a John Doe, claiming he had been fired as a result of his sexual orientation and disability. He names HBO, Warner Media, McCafrey, Orsi, The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye), and two other executive producers on The Idol. Temori claims that he was bullied and harassed in an effort to pressure him to quit.

While the sock puppet accounts and fake tweets might seem unrelated to the hostile work environment claim, they are included in the lawsuit because Temori alleges that he was assigned "menial tasks" that had nothing to do with his job description.

Sock puppet accounts are exactly what they sound like: fake accounts created so that others can control them, usually in order to "win" online arguments by chiming in on the side of the person who controls the sock puppet account. Long used by bad-faith trolls fighting over low stakes nonsense, sock puppet accounts occasionally come up as part of something bigger. In recent months, a large YouTube creator was accused of using sock puppet accounts to harass and defame her ex-business partners, contributing to a cascade of further accusations of bad business conduct.

The irony in HBO's case, of course, is that if true, the alleged behavior would have very little real effect on swaying its targets. Movie critics and other writers in the pop culture sphere are so used to being inundated with commentary about their work that it's rare any one tweet or nasty comment is going to stand out and change the narrative, or in some cases even be seen.

It is official: the holiday season is here and Starbucks has unveiled its Holiday 2023 menu -- and their beloved holiday cups as well. On Wednesday, Starbucks announced that, starting November 2nd -- that's Thursday -- the holiday menu arrives in stores in the United States with several returning favorites as well as a new iced holiday beverage as well.

Returning this year are the Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulee Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, and Iced Sugar Cookie Almond milk Latte. They're joined by the new Iced Gingerbread Oat milk Chai. You can check out descriptions for each below.

? The new Iced Gingerbread Oat milk Chai combines warm gingerbread notes, a blend of chai spices, and creamy oat milk. Available iced and hot.

In terms of food, there are some returning favorites this year with the Gingerbread Loaf, Peppermint Brownie Cake Pop, Cranberry Bliss Bar, Snowman Cookie, and Sugar Plum Cheese Danish. And of course, holiday cups are back as well, featuring red and green as well as magenta with each cup accented with sparkles.

Wendy's Frosty lineup is changing once again. Wednesday, the chain announced the return of its Peppermint Frosty, a wintertime treat that's relatively new to the restaurant's menu. The minty Frosty will officially return to Wendy's menus on November 14th, though select people will get a chance to try it early. Those in attendance at BravoCon this coming weekend (November 3 - November 5) in Las Vegas will be able to get their hands on the Frosty's return weeks before it's available to the masses.

As is typically the case when new Frosty flavors surface, the Peppermint Frosty will be taking the place of Vanilla Frostys in restaurants the limited-time offering is available. That means for the foreseeable future, Wendy's will only have Chocolate and Peppermint Frostys in-stock.

This is the second year the Peppermint Frosty will be available, having been first introduced last Thanksgiving.

"The Peppermint Frosty is our latest flavor innovation on the iconic Wendy's Frosty that fans have come to know and love for over 50 years," John Li, Vice President of Culinary Innovation for the Wendy's Company, said at the time. "It's the classic thick and creamy Frosty that our fans crave with bursts of fresh peppermint - every sweet bite will put you in the holiday spirit."

"Folks enjoyed the strawberry Frosty enough that we knew it was important to get after another flavor and one that would tie well with the holidays," Wendy's chief marketer Carl Loredo explained. "Peppermint is amazing, and it's a great way to ring in the holiday season."

He added, "It's an accelerated path, but it's something we've been working on for a few years. [Peppermint] was a flavor that we knew consumers liked -- ultimately, the commercialization piece [was an aspect] we needed to finalize quickly, but it's been something we had our minds."

Wendy's will continue offering its Pumpkin Spice Frosty for the next two weeks until the Peppermint Frosty is released, or as supplies last.

Last fall, Eggo shook up the holidays with the debut of their first ever Eggo Nog, a spirited holiday drink made in partnership with craft distillery Sugarlands Distilling Co. out of Gatlinburg, Tenn. The beverage was so successful, it prompted a second beverage, Brunch in a Jar Sippin Cream earlier this year but fans hadn't forgotten about the decadent, rum-based liqueur and now, it's back. In other Eggo news, the brand recently announced the debut of the EggoVac, an automatic vacuum cleaner in partnership with Bissell that looks just like one of the brand's signature waffles.

Pizza toppings can be the source of great debate -- just ask anyone who has ever gotten into the debate about whether pineapples belong on a pizza (and no, we are not going to have that debate right now, thank you.) Now, however, DiGiorno is introducing a pizza that has a host of toppings that might be just a little divisive -- or could be a little bit genius, depending on how you feel about Thanksgiving. That's right, DiGiorno has launched the Thanksgiving Pizza, a brand-new pie that is topped with the classics of the holiday meal, including turkey, green beans, gravy, and more.

In other holiday food news, on Wednesday, Campbell's released their second annual State of the Sides report and found that 67 percent of Americans prefer side dishes to the entree -- a number that is up one percent from last year's report. Most popular sides? Turns out those are the classics: mashed potatoes, stuffing/dressing, mac and cheese, yams/sweet potatoes, and of course, green bean casserole. 66 percent of respondents noted that sides are a way to bring cultural heritage to their Thanksgiving table and for almost 6 in 10 Americans, the holiday is bigger than just family.

They'll also be celebrating Friendsgiving this year.

The brand also released a special collaboration with "The Real-Life Willy Wonka", Chef Phillip Ashley Rix for an all-new collection of six soup-infused holiday truffles from Phillip Ashley Chocolates.

A major change is happening within Walt Disney Animation Studios, as a new report from THR states that sixty-three Walt Disney Animation Studios production employees have voted to unionize. The group of sixty-three employees includes production coordinators, production managers, and production supervisors, and they voted to join The Animation Guild (IATSE Local 839) in a National Labor Relations Board ballot count on Wednesday. Within a group of 68 voters, only five voted against, and if neither of the parties files an objection to the result within five days, the group will be certified and can begin bargaining a first contract.

At one point earlier in the process, Disney stated that production managers and production supervisors were managers and did not sure a "community of interest" with production coordinators. That meant they would not be able to join them in their bargaining unit, but an NLRB acting regional director found that the proposed bargaining unit was "appropriate" and included all of the roles in a direction of election, allowing them to move forward.

Production coordinator Maggie Hughes said that the win "exemplifies the core of why we're unionizing" in a statement. Hughes added, "We knew throughout this process that everyone in our unit deserves to be eligible but the company still decided to pursue this long and arduous process in an attempt to divide us."

This all started last year when the group of workers requested changes to pay and portable healthcare that they would be able to bring with them to different jobs. The group would request to be voluntarily recognized by Disney, but Disney evidently denied that request. That led to an announcement in March of this year that the workers would be starting the process of unionizing.

Alongside that announcement, Production Coordinator Shannon Henley said, "Even though I love my job, I regularly must consider if I should instead find a job with better pay, better hours, better benefits, and a more viable career path forward. Joining TAG gives me hope that I'll no longer have to consider leaving my dream job in order to live comfortably."

That's not the only group to unionize under the Disney umbrella this year, as in September Marvel Studios Visual Effects workers voted unanimously to unionize with IATSE. That group included more than 50 of Marvel's VFX workers, and this coincides with the intense scrutiny that Marvel's VFX process has come under over the past year.

"Today, VFX workers at Marvel Studios spoke with a unanimous, collective voice, demanding fair pay for the hours they work, healthcare, a safe and sustainable working environment, and respect for the work they do," Mark Patch, VFX organizer for IATSE, said in a statement Wednesday. "There could be no stronger statement highlighting the overwhelming need for us to continue our work and bring union protections and standards to all VFX workers across the industry. And there could be no stronger example of the courage and solidarity of these workers than each and every one of them declaring 'union YES!'"

At the end of the third straight day in this round of negotiations, SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP may be close to striking a deal. Though no deal is in place, Deadline suggests the framework for a deal exists and will be the basis of discussion on Thursday as the two sides continue negotiations. It's unclear if a deal will take place this week or next, and one insider tells the trade the mood in the negotiating room is more "upbeat" than it's ever been.

AI continues to be a major roadblock in ongoing negotiations, as does success-based compensation in the age of streaming. Deadline says one source says it will still be "a few days" as exact wording is hammered out regarding both options.

The latest update is a hard shift from what SAG-AFTRA officials have said of the studios just a few weeks ago. When the two sides met for the first time in months in early October, union officials said the AMPTP presented its lowest offer of the strike. It's unclear what exactly has changed since then.

"We have negotiated with them in good faith, despite the fact that last week they presented an offer that was, shockingly, worth less than they proposed before the strike began," SAG-AFTRA told the membership (via Variety). "These companies refuse to protect performers from being replaced by AI, they refuse to increase your wages to keep up with inflation, and they refuse to share a tiny portion of the immense revenue YOUR work generates for them."

"The companies are using the same failed strategy they tried to inflict on the WGA - putting out misleading information in an attempt to fool our members into abandoning our solidarity and putting pressure on our negotiators," the union told Variety. "But, just like the writers, our members are smarter than that and will not be fooled."

As of this writing, the actors' strike has been underway for 111 days. The 2023 WGA strike, which ended earlier this month, lasted 148 days before an agreement was reached between the writers' guild and AMPTP.

"Without a doubt, Green Bean Casserole just because it's something... of all the other side dishes, that one is the one you would least even contemplate making something sweet. It was like, okay, that's exactly the one we want to turn into something phenomenal. Sean "Diddy" Combs is not letting legal red tape get in the way of his newest Halloween costume. Early Wednesday morning, Diddy began to share photos and videos of himself in an impressive Batman get-up, complete with a near-perfect recreation of The Dark Knight's trilogy's Batsuit, Tumbler, and Batcave. This comes after Diddy received cease and desist memos of some kind from Warner Bros. Pictures for sporting a Joker Halloween costume in 2022 inspired by Heath Ledger's performance in The Dark Knight. Diddy had taken to social media on Tuesday night to indicate that Warner Bros.' legal situation had "f-ck[ed] up" his Halloween, but now we know that isn't the case.

Diddy released a short film of sorts to unveil his Batman costume, which you can check out below. Captioned "#TheDarkestKnight", it sees Diddy monologuing as Batman (to a pint-sized Lucius Fox), before arriving at a studio executive's office and asking him to end the ongoing SAG-AFTRA actors' strike.

"Breaking Halloween news: last year after I did the Black Joker, I got a bunch of emails from the studio telling me to not be the Joker anymore, that I was breaching the trademark. So I don't know what I'm going to be this year," Diddy previously said in the original Instagram video. "To the motherf-cker that took all this time... to tell me not to be the Joker, you win. I'm not going to be the Joker this year because your ass had enough time to f-ck up my motherf-cking Halloween."

Prior to that Instagram video, Diddy appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to speak about suiting up as the Joker during Halloween 2022, and trolled Warner Bros. about possibly doing so again. Diddy's costume, which was inspired by Heath Ledger's portrayal of the character from 2008's The Dark Knight, was so spot-on that he actually got into a fight with Power actor Michael J. Ferguson, who was not aware that he was under the costume.

"Last year I was the Joker, and I actually got a letter from the studio that I can no longer be the Joker because they said it broke their trademark that I did it too good, I swear," Diddy said. "I have this letter from Warner Brothers... Tomorrow, Warner Brothers lawyers, can you see me? Put this camera on me right here. Head of legal, tomorrow, watch what I do."

What Is the Next Batman Movie About?

The Brave and the Bold is confirmed to star Bruce Wayne / Batman and Damian Wayne / Robin, with DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran teasing that the film might feature other characters from the larger "Bat-family." Plot details beyond that are currently unknown at this time.

"This is the introduction of the DCU's Batman..." Gunn explained to reporters in January of this year. "This is the story of Damian Wayne, who is Batman's actual son who we didn't know existed for the first eight to 10 years of his life. He was raised as a little murderer and assassin. He's a little son of a bitch. He's my favorite Robin. It's based on the Grant Morrison comic book's run, which is one of my favorite Batman runs, and we are putting that all together right now."

"And this is obviously a feature film, and it's going to feature other members of the extended 'Bat-family', just because we feel like they've been left out of the Batman stories in the theater for far too long," Safran added.

Alan Ruck, the Emmy-nominated actor known for scene-stealing roles in Succession and Ferris Bueller's Day Off, was reportedly involved in an accident at a Los Angeles pizza shop on Tuesday, October 31st. On Wednesday, TMZ reported that Ruck was involved in a four-way car crash which sent his car, a Rivian truck, into the side of a nearby pizza joint. Ruck's car ultimately crashed into Raffalo's Pizza at the intersection of La Brea Avenue and Hollywood.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a 32-year-old man was hospitalized due to the crash, and Raffalo's Pizza suffered structural damage due to the ordeal. There has been no indication that any of the drivers involved in the accident were under the influence. Ruck was spotted at the scene talking to authorities after the initial crash. The cause of the accident is reportedly still under investigation.

Ruck is best known for portraying Cameron Frye in the beloved 1986 comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off. He also portrayed Connor Roy, the oldest son of the Roy family, in HBO's recently-wrapped his series Succession.

What Happened to Connor After the Succession Finale?

"I think Connor was happy for a while," Ruck explained to Deadline. "I think he and Willa were kind of happy for a while and then I think the pink clouds dissipated pretty quickly, and it's really obvious at the end of the show that she's not happy about the idea that he might not go to Slovenia. She was counting on him being away. So I don't know how long they'll last. But, you know, they had that one little moment that none of the rest of them really got. I mean, the whole family is a disaster when it comes to relationships."

"He is loyal. He loves his family, and he knows that hey are really incapable of loving him," Ruck explained. "They're like, 'Connor, yeah, we love him.' But they thing he's an idiot, and they're very dismissive and they're so wrapped up in their own egos. They are not really capable of loving anybody. Loving people wasn't useful to Logan, so he didn't do it. And I think that's true of Kendall and Roman and Siobhan, too. They're just cold. They're missing those love chips. Maybe Roman has a little bit, maybe there's some little ember of love still alive in Rome."

Halloween might be in the books, but people are still finding opportunities to share their creative and unexpected costumes. For Shang-Chi and Barbie star Simu Liu, who recently tore his Achilles tendon, that involved taking a tongue-in-cheek approach to the holiday. On Wednesday, Liu posted a photo of himself dressed as New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, complete with the crutches and leg cast from his injury. Of course, as football fans know, Rodgers tore his achilles tendon within minutes of his first game of the current NFL season, and he has been seen at games in similar casual outfits.

What Will Shang-Chi 2 Be About?

Liu is expected to reprise his role as Shang-Chi in a sequel, which has been confirmed to be in development at Marvel Studios. While a title, synopsis, or other plot points surrounding Shang-Chi 2 remain a mystery, Liu previously hinted that the sequel would further expand the mythos, and hopefully include as much of its ensemble cast as possible.

"Going into a sequel feels exciting. It doesn't necessarily feel like there's a pressure to perform or a pressure to exceed," Liu told Collider earlier this year. "It feels like we've established a world and there's just something really nostalgic and exciting about returning to that world that we've spent so much time ideating on and thinking about. And then, we're getting to revisit some things, but also show the viewer new things. We'll deliver all of the amazing action that we were celebrated for on the first movie, but then also hopefully explore new sides of Shaun's character and the characters around him. That is, of course, if we can still afford Michelle Yeoh. She's on top of the world and just the queen of everything."

Will Shang-Chi Appear in Avengers 5?

With Shang-Chi's Destin Daniel Cretton set to helm Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, fans have naturally begun to wonder if Liu will reprise his role in that film as well. While speaking to ComicBook.com last year, Liu responded to that speculation by saying, "I would think so...I would hope so. Don't take my word for it."

"It feels incredible. I obviously learned about the news a little bit before the rest of the world did, but I freaked out," Liu told ComicBook.com in late 2022. "I sent him like forty texts in a row, all exclamation marks. I'm just so incredibly happy for him, he's so deserving of that spot. What makes him such a special filmmaker, and I've said this from the beginning even when we were premiering our movie, is his ability to make a $150 million movie really, really small, in the best possible way. I'm really looking forward to what he does on that even grander scale of The Avengers because I think it's easy to maybe get lost in the spectacle of what those movies can be, the vastness and the grandness of it, but if you can maintain the humanity and the human stories, I think that's what will make a movie memorable and special, and I think Destin's got it. I think he's got it and I think he deserves this so much. I'm so excited to get to work for him again."

Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol might be one of the most frequently adapted and reinvented stories of all time. Centering on a greedy man who needs to learn the value of empathy and the meaning of Christmas, A Christmas Carol seems to remain relevant and open to reinvention generation after generation, presumably in part because Scrooge and his supporting cast are archetypes, not especially rooted in the London of Dickens's time. Scrooged remains a popular reinvention of the story, and that one (like Spirited, released last year on Apple TV+) acknowledges that the Dickens story exists and riffs on it openly.

The story, which is in the public domain, has been the subject of many film and TV adaptations ranging from great to garbage. In 2022 alone, aside from Spirited, which stars Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell, there was also A Christmas Karen, an independent film from FilmRise that casts a woman in the Scrooge role, which is actually fairly rare/ and a more straightforward, animated adaptation of the story from Netflix, starring Luke Evans and Olivia Colman.

Halloween is now behind us and that means we are officially in the holiday season with Thanksgiving next up on the calendar. This year, Baskin-Robbins is giving fans plenty to be thankful for with the launch of its all-new Flavor of the Month as well as the return of a beloved holiday favorite. On Wednesday, Baskin-Robbins announced the debut of Turkey Day Fixin's, November's new Flavor of the Month as well as the return of the fan-favorite Turkey Cake, both of which are sure to get folks excited for the holidays.

The new Turkey Day Fixin's brings Main Dish Energy to side dishes with this new offering. It's described as being a surprising combination of sweet potato and autumn spice ice creams mixed with honey cornbread pieces and swirls of Ocean Spray cranberry sauce. That's right, it brings together three holiday side dish favorites --sweet potatoes, cornbread, and cranberry sauce -- all in one tasty treat.

Baskin-Robbins is also bringing back the iconic Turkey Cake for a limited time as well. It can be pre-ordered ahead of time online for the holiday. Additionally, Baskin-Robbins also announced on Wednesday that they have partnered with reality TV stars Hanna Godwin and Dylan Barbour to host their first Friendsgiving as newlyweds -- including Turkey Day Fixin's and Turkey Cake.

"Dylan and I are on the same page when it comes to Thanksgiving food - the sides are the best part. Turkey Day Fixin's has all the flavors we look forward to each year in one sweet scoop," said Godwin. Last Thanksgiving, Blue Moon Brewing Company sweetened up the holiday with the introduction of their Pie Pints and this year, their giving people even more to be thankful for. On Wednesday, the brand announced that not only are they bringing back their Blue Moon Pie Pints in partnership with Tiny Pies but they're introducing their new Blue Moon Thanksgiving Seasonings as well so fans can enhance any meal this fall.

In other holiday-related food news, while Thanksgiving is just around the corner, Christmas isn't too far behind it and with it, the 20th anniversary of the beloved holiday classic, Elf. To celebrate, Mrs. Butterworth's recently announced the release of a new, limited-edition Elf-themed Sugar Cookie Pancake Mix Kit as well as a specially designed bottle of Original breakfast syrup.

With Halloween behind us, it's full steam ahead into the holiday season and on Wednesday, Dunkin' kicked off the festive time of the year with their holiday menu including the return of Free Donut Wednesdays. Dunkin announced the return of some fan-favorite holiday beverage, new holiday packaging, the donut deals and more just as we round into the start of the most wonderful time of the year.

This year's holiday menu sees the return of Dunkin's Cookie Butter Cold Brew. The drink was wildly popular last December, prompting it's return this year. The drink features Dunkin's ultra-smooth Cold Brew paired with notes of brown sugar and buttery cookies topped with Cookie Butter Cold Foam and cookie butter crumbles. It's joined this year by the all-new Spiced Cookie Coffee. Available iced or hot, the drink features brown sugar and vanilla flavor note paired with creamy oat milk to capture the essence of freshly baked oatmeal cookies in a cup.

Also coming back for the season are the Peppermint Mocha Signature Latte, which features a blend of decadent mocha and cool peppermint topped with whipped cream, mocha drizzle and extra dusting of hot chocolate powder, and the Toasted White Chocolate Signature Latte. That drink is loaded with white chocolate notes topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle and cinnamon sugar. As for snacks, the Triple Chocolate Muffin is noted by Dunkin' to be the perfect pairing for the holidays.

Also returning is Free Donut Wednesdays. Now through December 31st, Dunkin' Rewards members get a free classic donut with the purchase of any drink. And starting November 29th, Holiday Sprinkles will takeover the bakery case for Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry frosted donuts. Breakfast isn't being left out of the holiday fun, either. Dunkin' is also launching new Loaded Hashbrowns. The new offering features a layer of hashbrowns topped with warm cheddar queso featuring a hint of jalapeno, finished with crispy, crumbled bacon on top.

Every year, Halloween provides us with some delightful and genuinely unexpected costumes, especially from figures of popular culture. After already wowing fans with a Soul Eater-themed costume earlier this week, Megan Thee Stallion is upping the ante once again. On Tuesday, Megan Thee Stallion debuted a costume themed around the 1990 cult-classic Gremlins 2: The New Batch -- more specifically, the infamous female gremlin Greta. Will There Be a Gremlins 3?

Aside from Nick Lutsko's 2021 magnum opus Gremlins 3: Dawn of Desmond, the Gremlins franchise has not yet spawned an additional film. The closest fans have gotten to an extension of the franchise was a Super Bowl commercial for Mountain Dew Zero, which saw franchise star Billy (Zach Galligan) reunite with Gismo. As Galligan later explained to ComicBook.com, that commercial did provide some key inklings of where the lore has gone in decades since.

"I think that question almost has been answered in the Mountain Dew commercial where you see he's sitting on the couch and if you look closely on his vest, he has a Pelzer Inventions logo on his vest," Galligan explained. "And so he's taken over his dad's business and guess is he's probably, because remember when he's working for Mr Clamp, he's a graphic designer. My guess is he's moved from graphic design to invention design and make it into blueprints. And it's not really very far to move from architectural plans to blueprints for inventions. So my guess is that he, he has the same kind of a visual sense as his father had. And no offense to Hoyt Axton's character, but my guess is that Billy is probably, you know, is able to shall we say, close the deal and make a product that actually works as opposed to his dad, which kind of always seems to miss the mark a little bit."

What Is the Gremlins Prequel About?

Earlier this year, the world of Gremlins did get expanded with Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, an animated prequel series that made its debut exclusively on Max. Secrets of the Mogwai is a period piece set in 1920s Shanghai, the series reveals how a 10-year-old Sam Wing -- who becomes the future shop owner Mr. Wing in the 1984 movie -- met the young Mogwai called Gizmo. They strike up a lifelong friendship as Wing attempts to return Gizmo to his family, encountering and sometimes battling colorful monsters and spirits from Chinese folklore. Meanwhile, the two and street thief Elle are pursued by a power-hungry industrialist and his growing army of evil Gremlins.

In recent years, Heidi Klum has become a staple of Halloween, suiting up in lavish and unexpected costumes every year. Klum's previous get ups have caught quite a lot of attention, whether it be as Jessica Rabbit in 2015, Shrek's Princess Fiona in 2018, or as a gigantic worm in 2022. The pop culture world has wondered what Klum will dress up as this year -- and now, we have our first look at what that will entail. On Tuesday, Klum took to Instagram to share a brief video of herself in costume and prosthetic makeup. Klum also partially put on the costume, with the help of makeup artist Bill Corso, on an Amazon livestream.

The video and the livestream only showcase a fraction of the costume, and Klum does not reveal what the end result is supposed to be, hinting that the world will get the final answer at her star-studded Halloween party on Tuesday.

Klum previously teased that her 2023 costume will up the ante once again, and that she had to close down several streets in order to make her grand entrance.

"It's gonna be gigantic and I have to close a few streets down here in Manhattan," Klum revealed in a recent interview with The Tonight Show. "[It] is very hard to do, by the way. It's really big."

Janelle Mon?e's fourth studio album The Age of Pleasure was release this summer and the actress' next acting gig will likely be the A24 TV series De La Resistance. The series will see Mon?e take on the role of Josephine Baker, a spy for the Allied forces that helped France fight the Nazis. It was previously reported that many streamers were interested in the property but it's unclear where it ended up landing.

The actors' strike is in its 110th day, but an end may be in sight. On Tuesday, SAG-AFTRA and the Hollywood studios stopped negotiations for the day with plans to return to the bargaining table on Wednesday, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, sources on the studio side indicate that the negotiations are "headed in the right direction" and a deal could be imminent. Reportedly, Tuesday's negotiations were spent taking on issues of artificial intelligence (AI) while additional issues will be worked on in the coming days.

On Monday, the actors' union's negotiating committed had communicated to members that while negotiations continued, a deal might not be so imminent while a video message on Tuesday from SAG-AFTRA executive director and chief negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland noted that the union needs to keep working and keep the pressure on, particularly when it comes to matters of AI.

"While I've said I'm cautiously optimistic, that means we've got to keep the pressure on," he said. "We've got to keep on pushing because there are really important pieces of this agreement that are not there yet and they have to come across. AI, for example, has to be right. This deal cannot be done without a fair deal on AI."

Why Did SAG-AFTRA Go On Strike?

SAG-AFTRA initially went on strike earlier this year to address many of the same issues already tackled in studio deals with the Director's Guild of America (DGA) and WGA. Among those issues were concerns about royalty and residual payments as well as the use of artificial intelligence (AI) on the part of the studios to reduce labor costs. Back in May, SAG-AFTRA's national board unanimously agreed to send an authorization vote to members, with and 97.91 percent of members ultimately voting in favor of authorization.

"Yesterday our union celebrated the 90th anniversary of the incorporation of Screen Actors Guild," Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director and Chief Negotiator said during a press conference. "During our nearly century long existence we've fought for and achieved countless gains for working actors. Today, we embark on a new important chapter in our union's history. Earlier this morning, the SAG-AFTRA national board convened following four weeks of negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television producers in a meeting, because AMPTP remains unwilling to offer a fair deal on key issues essential to protecting the livelihoods of working actors and performers. SAG AFTRA as national board unanimously voted to issue a strike order against the studios and streamers."

The Writers' Strike Ended Earlier This Month

The WGA strike officially ended earlier in October, though many writers have continued to appear on picket lines in support of their peers in SAG-AFTRA. That strike lasted for 148 days. The actors' strike coming to an end would mean a full return to work for Hollywood, which has largely been in limbo since the beginning of the summer when the writers first took to the picket lines.

There are a lot of elements of Halloween that people look forward to, from the deluge of candy to the wide array of costumes. As celebrities continue to step out in impressive and surprising duds, it looks like Diddy's plans for the holiday have been slightly dashed. On Tuesday night, Sean "Diddy" Combs took to Instagram to reveal that he received cease and desists of some kind from Warner Bros. Pictures, with regards to his Joker costume that he wore in a 2022. As a result, the rapper and actor seemingly confirmed that he will not be dressing up as the Joker anymore for this year's Halloween, but he is not happy with how the situation has progressed.

"Breaking Halloween news: last year after I did the Black Joker, I got a bunch of emails from the studio telling me to not be the Joker anymore, that I was breaching the trademark. So I don't know what I'm going to be this year," Diddy said. "To the motherf-cker that took all this time... to tell me not to be the Joker, you win. I'm not going to be the Joker this year because your ass had enough time to f-ck up my motherf-cking Halloween."

Why Did Diddy Dress Up as The Joker?

Prior to that Instagram video, Diddy appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to speak about suiting up as the Joker during Halloween 2022, and trolled Warner Bros. about possibly doing so again. Diddy's costume, which was inspired by Heath Ledger's portrayal of the character from 2008's The Dark Knight, was so spot-on that he actually got into a fight with Power actor Michael J. Ferguson, who was not aware that he was under the costume.

"Last year I was the Joker, and I actually got a letter from the studio that I can no longer be the Joker because they said it broke their trademark that I did it too good, I swear," Diddy said. "I have this letter from Warner Brothers... Tomorrow, Warner Brothers lawyers, can you see me? Put this camera on me right here. Head of legal, tomorrow, watch what I do."

What Is Joker 2 about?

The Joker will next be seen onscreen in Warner Bros.' Joker: Folie a Deux, which will be a musical that follows the twisted romance between Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck / Joker and Gaga's Harley Quinn, with a lot of the film reportedly taking place within Arkham Asylum. The film will also feature appearances from Zazie Beetz, Brendon Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Jacob Lofland.

"I actually think it makes wonderful sense," Beetz said of the film being a musical in an interview last year. "I wasn't really surprised by that Todd has always had a creative approach to the character. I love musicals, and I think of them as the characters are feeling and experiencing so much that they can only sing and dance about it, whether in sorrow or in joy. And I can actually see that within myself as well, because singing and dancing is quite a cathartic experience for me. I was going through a really, really difficult time at one point in my life, and I just started dancing and crying by myself. And that was an expression that matched where I was at that moment. And so, I can see Arthur, who is feeling and experiencing so much, dancing and singing about it. He's the Joker, so I think it makes sense to me."

Castlevania: Nocturne expanded the Netflix franchise with a brand new anime series taking the Universe in a whole new direction, and one awesome cosplay is helping to celebrate Alucard's big comeback to the anime! Castlevania: Nocturne takes place 300 years after the events of the four season original series, and that meant that we wouldn't be seeing any of the fan favorite characters from that first run. Instead, fans were introduced to the latest member of the Belmont bloodline with Richter Belmont as he was taking on some terrifying new vampire opponents during the time of the French Revolution.

While this seemed like we wouldn't be seeing many ties to the original series, it wasn't until the final moments of Castlevania: Nocturne's first season that Alucard made his return to the anime. Helping Richter and the others out of a jam in a quick fashion, the series is now prepared to bring him back to Castlevania full time in the coming season. What to Know for Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2

Castlevania: Nocturne ended the first season's run with Alucard's return to the anime, and thankfully it was soon confirmed that the series would be returning with a second season. Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 is now in the works, but concrete release details have yet to be revealed as of the time of this writing. It will feature a returning staff and cast from the first season, so you can catch up with everything that's happened so far with the eight episode first season now streaming with Netflix. General Hospital and Days of Our Lives star Tyler Christopher, who brought fan-favorite characters like Nikolas Cassadine to life, has passed away at the age of 50. The tragic news was shared by Christopher's longtime co-star Maurice Benard on Instagram, who shared that Tyler had passed away earlier today due to a cardiac event in his home. Benard shared a tribute to Christopher in the same post (via The Wrap), and General Hosptial executive producer Frank Valentini also shared a tribute to Christopher on Twitter. Christopher introduced General Hospital fans to Nikolas Cassadine, the nephew of Stefan Cassadine, in 1996, and he would go on to be a part of the long-running soap opera for a total of 1153 episodes. Christopher would depart the show at several points, and while other actors have played the role and become favorites in their own rights, Christopher is definitely a favorite of long time fans.

Christopher would also play the role of Stefan DiMera on Days of Our Lives from 2001 to 2019 across 160 episodes. Christopher was also in a number of TV projects, including Super Volcano, Megaquake, and Ice Storm, which was released this year.

President Joe Biden recently issued an executive order on the use of artificial intelligence, one of the first moves of its kind. As it turns out, Biden was inspired to issue such an order after watching Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning and seeing what the dangers of what artificial intelligence could do if bad actors used it extensively. According to deputy White House chief of staff Bruce Reed, he and Biden watched the film during a break in policy-making at Camp David.

"If he hadn't already been concerned about what could go wrong with AI before that movie, he saw plenty more to worry about," Reed said in a new interview with the Associated Press.

The executive order is hoping to lay the groundwork for future legislation given said orders cannot be made laws. The order is, however, a significant step forward for those looking to regulate the usage of AI. It instructs the United States Department of Commerce to issue guidelines regarding the watermarking of AI-generated images. The order also uses the Defense Production Act to require AI developers to safety test results and other experimentation to the federal government.

"He was as impressed and alarmed as anyone," Reed added. "He saw fake AI images of himself, of his dog. He saw how it can make bad poetry. And he's seen and heard the incredible and terrifying technology of voice cloning, which can take three seconds of your voice and turn it into an entire fake conversation."

During Monday's signing of the order, Biden acknowledged the advantages of AI when used properly. "AI is all around us," Biden said. "To realize the promise of AI and avoid the risk, we need to govern this technology."

As industry experts point out, the order also stops short of new laws introduced by the European Union. Those laws ban the use of AI in certain instances, including its usage by law enforcement officers to identify people in real-time.

Disneyland's Adventureland Treehouse is going back to its roots. One year after Disney Parks announced the walk-through attraction formerly known as Tarzan's Treehouse would reopen in 2023 with a new look and theme, the re-imagined Adventureland Treehouse has an official opening date: November 10th. Inspired by Walt Disney's classic 1960 adventure film Swiss Family Robinson -- which, in turn, inspired the original version of the treehouse that opened in 1962 -- the new Adventureland Treehouse welcomes adventurers of all ages into "the greatest adventure story of them all."

In its first remodeling in nearly 25 years, the iconic park landmark lets guests explore the branches of a giant tree on the shores of the Jungle River that has been fashioned into the Robinson family's treetop home. Newly released art shows a giant waterwheel and wood rope stairways that lead up into the boughs, which Father, Mother, Ernst, Francis, and Fritz have made their own with unique touches. Mother's music den, the sons' nature room, and an astronomer's loft are located on the upper levels, while the ground floor is where guests will explore the kitchen, dining room, and Father's art studio displaying hand-drawn sketches and gadget inventions.

Disney describes the concept: "As the story goes, the family fashioned an oasis among the trees inspired by nature and using objects found around them. Here, they can collaborate together while also pursuing their own individual skills, talents, passions and interests. Proud of what they've accomplished and eager to share their way of life with visitors from around the world, the family has rolled out the metaphorical welcome mat, inviting guests to climb up the stone stairway and explore their treetop abode."

Originally opened in 1962 as The Swiss Family Treehouse, the attraction saw its first major renovation when Disneyland rethemed it to Tarzan's Treehouse, inspired by Disney's animated Tarzan, in 1999. That version was shuttered in September 2021.

The new Adventureland Treehouse is the latest change to come to the Anaheim, California, theme park: the re-imagined Mickey's Toontown reopened earlier this year, and Disney recently refreshed New Orleans Square's French Market Restaurant as Tiana's Palace, inspired by Disney Animation's The Princess and the Frog, which is also the theme for the re-imagined Splash Mountain (reopening in 2024 as the all-new Tiana's Bayou Adventure). Over at Disney California Adventure Park, Imagineers added a touch of Big Hero 6 with the new San Fransokyo Square area, and Disney announced a January 2024 opening date for its freshly-renovated Pixar Place Hotel (formerly the Paradise Pier Hotel).

A Disney World monorail got stuck in transit, requiring the local fire department to intervene and rescue the trapped riders. Reddy Creek, the Orlando, Florida, county where Walt Disney World is located, confirmed to the press that the monorail malfunction occurred and that both the Reedy Creek Fire Department and Orange County Fire Department were dispatched to mount a rescue effort.

An update from a Disney spokesperson revealed that the cause of the monorail malfunction was a flat tire, and that the transport unit came to a stop when the tire malfunction occurred. According to Disney, "No one was injured and everyone was safely evacuated" from the monorail.

Disney parks have been open and operating for so long that malfunctions are all but inevitable. The difference these days is that social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok, have turned Disney's worst or most embarrassing theme park mishaps into an entire trend of viral hits.

Even before Disney World suffered prolonged closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the theme park was making headlines in 2020 for some high-profile malfunctions. The Jungle Cruise ride broke down in February 2020, causing one of its boats to come off the track and sink, with some panicked riders stuck onboard. Just a day later, the Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland PeopleMover attraction malfunctioned when two of its trains collided on the track, each holding passengers. Soon after that, in early March 2020, Disney's Haunted Mansion attraction went viral for multiple days of malfunctions that were captured on video and posted to social media. And again: this was all BEFORE the pandemic swept through and kept Disney World and all the other Disney theme parks closed for a considerable portion of the year.

To be fair, Disney has invested a lot or new effort and money in building out its parks, since the pandemic. In a statement back in September, Disney Parks division revealed a new 10-year, $60 billion budget plan for expanding its park attractions, as, "there is still enormous untaped potential for reaching more consumers." Current plans for new additions to Disney parks inlcude a Cars Land at Disney California Adventure and the Frozen-themed attractions for Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris. Increased investment in Marvel's Avengers Campus at the various Disney Parks is also expected. Disney has pledged that it, "will explore even more characters and franchises, including some that haven't been leveraged extensively to date, as it embarks on a new period of significant growth domestically and internationally in its parks and resorts."

They might want to add revamping the monorail system to that list - right next to plans for a high-speed rail system in and out of Orlando.

Spooky season typically launches off the second General Mills' Monster Cereals enter stores, marking the beginning of a months-long celebration of all things monstrous and spooky. While the Big Three--Boo Berry, Count Chocula, and Franken Berry--are featured each year, they're often complemented by Yummy Mummy and Frute Brute. Very rarely General Mills decides to add a new monster to the mix, such as this year's introduction of Carmella Creeper, the first new cereal added to the line in decades.

Though the mascots are each pop culture icons in their own right, one person on the inside has shared a glimpse as to more Monster Cereals mascots General Mills has passed over in the years since the line's 1971 introduction. While Count Chocula and Franken Berry were introduced that year, Boo Berry didn't see stores until 1973, and he was in competition with a handful of others.

In a new post making the rounds online, Boo Berry was in competition with Apple Mummy, Applespider, Ella Vanilla, Doctor Orangelove, Vanilla Gorilla, OranGenie, Professor Nutty, R-r-r-r Orange, and Anna Banana. The viral post was first made by Fred Hauck, a monster lover whose father had a hand in helping design the mascots.

"Happy Halloween all you Monster lovers! Here are some concepts from my dads studio that didn't make the cut," Hauck wrote in a collector Facebook group. "They were obviously trying on some different flavor profiles and mascots with these. Interesting how Booberry was a berry, a ghost and a witch."

Who is Carmella Creeper?

"Carmella Creeper is the long-lost cousin of Franken Berry as well as a zombie DJ with an edgy sound who is always the life of the party," the brand says of the character. "Complete with a fierce attitude and looks to match, Carmella is ready to shake things up at the Monsters' haunted mansion with her limited-edition cereal featuring caramel-apple-flavored pieces with colored Monster marshmallows."

Count Chocula and Franken Berry launched in March 1971, according to the General Mills website. George Karn, who designed the original Trix Rabbit in 1959, also designed Count Chocula. In 1973, Boo Berry joined the party. Those three cereals have remained on the market since then, although in 2009, the cereals became seasonal items that are available during the spooky season. It isn't just October when you can get them, though; in recent years, they have been showing up on store shelves in July or August.

This is far from the first time the group has pulled off some impressive costumes. Last year they went as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus while in 2020, they honored long-running fan requests for a Powerpuff Girls inspired look by recreating the iconic animated characters' looks. And back in 2018, Mendes and Reinhart also did Halloween in Napoleon Dynamite costumes as well.

More Epic Halloween Costumes Are Coming

While Petsch, Reinhart, and Mendes' Halloween costumes are epic, with Halloween still to come on Tuesday, there are sure to still be a few more fun costumes yet to be seen from other stars -- including Heidi Klum. Every year Klum goes all out with some incredibly costumes -- last year's was a truly bizarre worm costume -- and this year is sure to be no exception. Recently, Klum even teased that she's literally taking over New York City with her look for this year.

"It's gonna be gigantic and I have to close a few streets down here in Manhattan," Klum revealed. "[It] is very hard to do, by the way." She added, "It's really big." When asked what the costume was going to be, Klum wasn't giving anything away.

"I always like for it to be a surprise," Klum explained. "Otherwise, people are going to be like, 'Oh, she's gonna be this,' and then I show up and they're like, 'Eh, it wasn't as good as I thought she was gonna do. So, I always think it's never good to talk about it."

Klum also spoke about last year's worm costume, adding, "This was very hard [and] I was very claustrophobic ... Basically they had to tie my arms down in order to be in this position. And then my face was, like, glued to the outside of it, so I couldn't really move my face any which way. I was just stuck."

After an extended weekend break, SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers are heading back to the negotiating table. Monday, members of the SAG-AFTRA negotiating committee confirmed the two sides would meet again on Tuesday, October 31st. In messaging sent to union membership, the negotiating committee went on to caution the two sides are "far apart" on several key issues at the root of the actors' strike.

"The committee worked independently today. We will be meeting with the AMPTP Tuesday," SAG-AFTRA officials told members (via THR). "While talks over the past week have been productive, we remain far apart on key issues."

The negotiating committee added, "Please help us keep pressure on the AMPTP by showing up on the picket lines, raising your voices at rallies across the country and by posting messages of support and strength on social media."

It's likely the use of artificial intelligence remains one of the key issues SAG-AFTRA officials are battling, with the continued desire from studios to use the technology on an increasingly frequent basis.

The last time the groups met at the table earlier this month, SAG-AFTRA officials say they were presented with one of their lowest offers of the strike.

"We have negotiated with them in good faith, despite the fact that last week they presented an offer that was, shockingly, worth less than they proposed before the strike began," SAG-AFTRA told the membership (via Variety). "These companies refuse to protect performers from being replaced by AI, they refuse to increase your wages to keep up with inflation, and they refuse to share a tiny portion of the immense revenue YOUR work generates for them."

"The companies are using the same failed strategy they tried to inflict on the WGA - putting out misleading information in an attempt to fool our members into abandoning our solidarity and putting pressure on our negotiators," the union told Variety. "But, just like the writers, our members are smarter than that and will not be fooled."

As of this writing, the actors' strike has been underway for 109 days. The 2023 WGA strike, which ended earlier this month, lasted 148 days before an agreement was reached between the writers' guild and AMPTP.

This time of the year is always the biggest period for candy sales as people stock up on treats to hand out during Halloween festivities. According to data obtained by Nielsen, candy corn has never been less popular, with Americans buying less of the confection each passing year.

In the data released by CNN, candy corn sales have declined steadily since 2018 with a record-low 12.7 million packages sold in 2022. By October 14th of this year, just 5.3 million packages of candy corn have been sold.

"It's not like, 'Yeah, it's OK,'" author Beth Kimmerle told the news network. "Either people love it or hate it."

With marshmallow-type products, Kimmerle says, companies are able to alter the look and flavoring much easier than candy corn. "So think about a Peep," Kimmerle continued. "You can coat it with sugar, you can colorize that sugar, you can color the inside of it. You can make it into different shapes. There is a lot of flexibility that you can have with marshmallows."

She added, "Gummies bounce around playfully in your mouth while you're chewing and then they dissolve. It's not a marshmallow, it's not a hard candy. It's somewhere in between. I would put it into the category of something that people feel compelled to buy because of the nostalgia factor. I remember it from my childhood, and the younger people don't. And candy is as much about memory as it is about the actual taste."

On the more popular side of things, chocolate is a clear-cut winner. Milk chocolate is by and large the most popular type of candy sold during the weeks leading up to halloween, which is then followed by non-chocolate chewy treats. Gummy treats fall in third place before the Top 5 is rounded out with "Other" candy and dark chocolate.

Magic Mike star Channing Tatum and The Batman star Zoe Kravitz are reportedly engaged. According to People, the couple -- which first started dating in 2021 -- were seen at Kendall Jenner's Halloween party over the weekend dressed in matching Rosemary's Baby inspired costumes with Kravitz apparently wearing her new engagement ring.

As was noted, Kravitz and Tatum reportedly began dating in 2021 and in 2022, Kravitz spoke about her relationship with him with GQ for their 2022 Men of the Year issue, calling him a "wonderful human".

"He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do," Kravitz said. "We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other."

She also spoke about how he was her protector on the set of her upcoming directorial debut, Pussy Island, the film in which they met during the casting process for.

"Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever -- he really was my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet," she said. "I think if you can do something like that together, it's a good test. And we came out even stronger."

This will be the second marriage for both Kravitz and Tatum. Tatum was previously married to his Step-Up co-star Jenna Dewan for ten years from 2009 to 2019 with the two sharing one daughter. Kravitz was married to actor Karl Glusman from 2019 to 2021.

What Is Kravitz's Directorial Debut, Pussy Island, About?

Pussy Island centers on a cocktail waitress named Frida (Naomi Ackie) who accepts an invitation to a remote private island owned by a tech mogul, Slater King, played by Tatum. When she maneuvers her way into King's inner circle, she's ready for a journey of a lifetime but despite the epic setting, beautiful people, ever-flowing champagne and late-night dance parties, Friday can sense that there's more to this island than meets the eye, something she can't quite put her finger on. Something terrifying. Kravitz directs and also wrote the film along with E.T. Feigenbaum. The film does not yet have a release date.

"Chan was my first choice, the one I thought of when I wrote this character," Kravitz said back in 2021. "I just knew from Magic Mike and his live shows, I got the sense he's a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter."

Select people on Capital Hill were ecstatic earlier this month when they found out they'd be receiving a classified briefing on UFOs or UAP, unidentified anomalous phenomena, by Christmas. As it turns out, it appears members of the House Oversight Committee have already received the briefing in question, and some elected officials have more questions than answers after sitting through it.

According to Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), the crew of Congresspeople "didn't learn anything" on their latest visit to the Department of Defense. "The federal government learned to do this during the Second World War," Burchett told NewsNation of UFO retrieval programs. "You have to imagine Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the Manhattan Project, thousands of people working on the atomic bomb and less than 12 knew what it was."

He added, "These guys can swear under oath. They can take a lie detector test because they're telling the truth as they know it."

Burchett has been one of several members of the House Oversight Committee spearheading the UAP transparency campaign of the past year or two. Burchett was a major figure in this summer's public testimony from three former members of the United States Armed Forces, people who either had close interactions with UAPs or had known people that have had such interactions.

According to one of those testifying--former intelligence official David Grusch--the United States has, in fact, retrieved "non-human biologics" from crashed UFOs.

"As I've stated publicly already ... biologics came with some of these recoveries, yeah," Grusch said in response to a question from Rep. Nancy Mace (R-NC). When pressed on if those biologics were human or extraterrestrial, the official confirmed "non-human" biologics are what have been recovered from certain UFO crashes.

"These sightings are not rare or isolated, they are routine," former piltor Ryan Graves added during the hearing. "Military air crew and commercial pilots, trained observers whose lives depend on accurate identification, are frequently witnessing these phenomena. The stigma attached to UAP is real and powerful and challenges national security."

Bridgerton star Ruby Barker is calling out both Netflix and Shondaland for not offering mental health support during filming of the hit series. According to Barker, who played Marina in Seasons 1 and 2 of Bridgerton, she suffered a psychotic breaks after wrapping production on Season 1 of Bridgerton in 2021 and a second in 2022 and neither time received support from Netflix or Shondaland. Barker said that not only did she not receive any support, but no one even reached out to see if she was okay.

"Not a single person from Netflix, not a single person from Shondaland, since I have had two psychotic breaks from that show, have even contacted me or even emailed me to ask me if I'm okay or if I would benefit from any sort of aftercare or support. Nobody," Barker said on Oxford University's LOAF Podcast (via Variety).

Barker went on to explain that her mental health began to decline while filming the first season of Bridgerton, something she partially attributed to her character's being "very alienated". Barker ended up being in the hospital a week after shooting the season.

"During filming, I was deteriorating. It was really a really tormenting place for me to be because my character was very alienated, very ostracized, on her own under these horrible circumstances," she said. "When I went into hospital a week after shooting Bridgerton Season 1, it was really covered up and kept on the down-low because the show was going to be coming out. In the run-up to the show coming out, I was just coming out from hospital, my Instagram following was going up, I had all these engagements to do... My life was changing drastically overnight and yet there was still no support and there still hasn't been any support all that time. SO, I was trying really, really hard to act like it was okay and that I could work and that it wasn't a problem."

Barker, who referred to her situation in a since-deleted post to Instagram last year where she disclosed that she had been "struggling since Bridgerton" but at the time thanked Netflix for saving her by casting her in the series, went on to say that she had to promote the series during the difficult time as though she had a "metaphorical invisible gun" to her head.

"It's almost like I had this metaphorical invisible gun to my head to sell this show because this show is bubbly and fun," Barker said. "I don't want to come out and poo poo on that because then I'll never work again."

A Third Season of Bridgerton Is In The Works

Earlier this year during Netflix's virtual TUDUM event, the streamer shared a first look at the third season of the series' upcoming third season which will center around the love story between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). Season 3 does not yet have a release date.

Here is the official synopsis for Season 3 of Bridgerton: Season 3 of Bridgerton will find Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) as she's finally given up her crush on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) after hearing him disparage her to his friends last season. Instead, she's focusing on finding a husband who will respect her independence so she may continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, away from her mother and sisters. Due to her lack of confidence, however, her search doesn't go so well.

Meanwhile, Colin is back from his summer travels with a new look and major swagger. He is disheartened to learn that Penelope, the one person who always appreciated him as he was, is giving him the cold shoulder. Eager to win back her friendship, Colin helps Penelope boost her confidence so as to attract the perfect husband. Hollywood is continuing to mourn the loss of Matthew Perry, after the beloved actor passed away on Saturday at the age of 54. For entire generations of viewers, Perry is best known for his performance of Chandler Bing on the long-running sitcom Friends -- and now, his fellow co-stars are paying their respects. In a joint statement exclusively obtained by People.com, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer all spoke about Perry.

"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family," their statement reads. "There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss. In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty's family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."

Late Saturday night, reports indicated that Perry had been found unresponsive in his Los Angeles-area home. It is believed that Perry drowned, after he was found in a jacuzzi in his home. No drugs were reportedly found at the scene, and it is not currently suspected that foul play was involved.

"We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother," a statement from Perry's family reads. "Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend. You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love."

Academy Award-winning actor Richard Dreyfuss has a problem with The Shark Is Broken. The play, which centers on the troubled production of Jaws, depicts him in what he thinks is a very unfair, negative light, drawing on third party accounts of a feud between Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw, who played Quint opposite Dreyfuss's Matt Hooper in the movie. Rumors of a feud have circulated for over a decade, with Dreyfuss blaming Steven Spielberg and Jaws co-screenwriter Carl Gottlieb for spreading them. He claims that there was no such feud, and that almost every example of a disagreement between the two was either over quickly, or the result of one or both men joking around.

Dreyfuss also thinks he was treated unfairly in specific, with his character coming off as "a big jerk" and "a fool."

"It was pretty awful," Dreyfuss told Vanity Fair. "Ian [Shaw]--who has more than any right to write whatever he wants--never called me and said, 'Give me some background.' Or, 'Give me your take on this and this.' And they just decided to make my character a big jerk."

According to Dreyfuss, the only time things got really heated was when he threw Shaw's bourbon over the edge of a boat; Shaw reacted by blasting Dreyfuss with a hose for such a sustained period he felt like he was going to drown. Ironically, that anecdote does play into Shaw's characterization in the play as an alcoholic, and Dreyfuss's characterization as neurotic.

"There were people on the crew who said, 'What's this Richard Dreyfuss-Robert Shaw show that's going on here?'" Dreyfuss told the magazine. "When we were surrounded by lots of other people, Robert would take digs at me, and I would take a dig at him. But that was only to make the hours go better, faster. We didn't take any of that seriously."

"The problem is that they made my character the fool," Dreyfuss added. "They didn't do that to Roy, and they didn't do that to Robert. And that hurt because it wasn't true."

While documentaries have previously been made about the subject, the stage production The Shark Is Broken is set to make its premiere on Broadway after having already earned acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and on London's West End. The play was written by Joseph Nixon and Ian Shaw, with Shaw being the son of Jaws star Robert Shaw. Shaw is joined in the production by Arrow's Colin Donnell as Roy Scheider and Alex Brightman as Richard Dreyfuss.

While people have been claiming for decades that they have come into close contact with visitors from other worlds, they are typically innocuous citizens and are rarely figures that have public personas that are known around the world. Overboard and Snatched star Goldie Hawn, however, is changing that notion, as she recently revealed that she believes she had physical contact with intergalactic visitors, which was an experience she first dismissed as being part of a dream. Years later, a meeting with an astrophysicist saw her recalling the experience vividly, at which point she remembered she had been touched by one of the beings, resulting in a "loving" feeling.

"I saw these two or three triangular-shaped heads. They were silver in color, slash for a mouth, tiny little nose, no ears," Hawn shared with the Apple Fitness+ podcast, detailing an experience in which she fell asleep in a friend's car. "They were pointing at me, pointing at me in the car as if they were discussing me, like I was a subject. And they were droning..."

Hawn continued, "I didn't know if it was real or not real. And finally, I burst out of it. It was like bursting out of a forcefield. And of course, I go back to all the kids and stuff, and I went, 'Oh, my God. I think I made contact with outer space,' I mean, something like that."

A chance visit to a virtual reality lab, in which Hawn was transported through the Milky Way, led to the realization that it seemingly wasn't a dream she had had all those years ago.

"I went into what I consider the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I was happy. I was calm. It felt so beautiful. It was so weird, but I felt kind of at home," the actor recalled. "I got emotional, tear here and there, and I said, 'I don't understand it, but I did have an experience once that had to do with maybe being visited by someone.'"

She likened the experience to being like "regression therapy," as she detailed, "Suddenly I remembered something. They touched my face. They touched my face, and it felt like the finger of God. It was the most benevolent, loving feeling. This was powerful. It was filled with light."

Hawn admitted that she'll likely never have a concrete explanation for these encounters, a revelation she's okay with.

"I'll never know. And I kind of like it that way. I don't want to know everything," Hawn confessed. "We cut ourselves off from a lot of things if we're continuing to deny something that we have no proof over. There's a lot of things in this world that we can't see, but we can't stop believing."

She added, "We can never, ever lose our wonder. It's just no fun. It's really an important aspect of being an adventurer, where nothing is impossible."

Interestingly, Hawn's longtime partner Kurt Russell also reportedly had a close encounter with alien beings, as it was Russell who reported on the mysterious lights hovering over Phoenix, Arizona back in 1997, one of the most well-known incidents of witnesses spotting lights in the sky.

"What the f--k" is up Dennys?" is the question first posed by Live Without, a band that played a one-night show at a Denny's diner in 2013. The restaurant was closing, and the band managed to convince management to let them play the joint off like the band on the Titanic. A video from the show was uploaded to YouTube, and the rest became internet history. Now, that same slogan has popped up again...this time, uttered by the globally-known band Blink-182, who recreated the Denny's Grand Slam and posted the video of their own syrup-soaked performance to social media.

The show was secret, although some fans were certainly expecting it after Tom DeLonge dropped the famous "What the f--k is up?" line both during a live performance at When We Were Young and online recently. The band is currently on tour in support of its latest record, One More Time.

It has been a roller-coaster few years for Blink-182. In 2021, Mark Hoppus announced that he was battling cancer, revealing later that year that he had emerged from the treatments cancer-free. Last year marked the 30th anniversary of the band, and One More Time is the first new record of original material since 2019's Nine.

It seems likely this is a one-and-done, although Blink-182 was reportedly selling "what the f--k is up, Denny's?" shirts at the live event, so there's an outside chance they might try another one if the show and merch both do well. It isn't clear how this was all lined up, after all. In the case of Live Without and the original Denny's Grand Slam, the show became so mythologized that there have been stories about it for years, including a pretty extensive interview and documentary by YouTube's WavyWebSurf. Friends star Matthew Perry died Saturday at the age of 54 and on Sunday, Nick at Nite will air a special tribute to the beloved actor. "Matthew Perry: Thanks for Being a Friend" is scheduled to air on Sunday, October 29th at 10 p.m. ET. The special is set to feature never-before-seen interviews with Perry, highlights of the actor as Chandler Bing on the hit NBC sitcom, and behind-the-scenes moments from the sitcom's set. The special was produced by Entertainment Tonight. Following the half hour special, Nick at Nite will also air fan-favorite episodes of Friends and will continue to air all week through Sunday, November 5th according to Deadline.

Perry died on Saturday after first responders were called to his Los Angeles home for cardiac arrest and found the actor unresponsive in a jacuzzi on the property, his death an apparent drowning. The son of John Bennet Perry and Suzanne Morrison, the actor is best known for his role as Chandler Bing for all 10 seasons of the beloved and wildly popular sitcom, Friends. On Sunday, Friends co-creators and executive producers Marta Kauffman and David Crane, along with series executive producer and director Kevin Bright issued a statement on the actor's sudden death.

"We will always cherish the joy, the light, the blinding intelligence he brought to every moment - not just to his work, but in life as well. This truly is The One Where Our Hearts Are Broken," the statement reads.

Warner Bros. Television, which produced Friends, also released a statement.

"We are devastated by the passing of our dear friend Matthew Perry. Matthew was an incredibly gifted actor and an indelible part of the Warner Bros. Television Group family. The impact of his comedic genius was felt around the world, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of so many. This is a heartbreaking day, and we send our love to his family, his loved ones, and all of his devoted fans," the statement read.

In addition to his work on friends, Perry had memorable roles in projects such as The West Wing, The Whole Nine Yards, Fools Rush In, and Three to Tango. He would return to TV as part of Aaron Sorkin's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and then would star in projects like The Good Wife, The Odd Couple, Go On, and more.

Perry also battled addiction through his career and published a memoir in 2022, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing that detailed his struggles with addiction. Perry noted at the time that he hoped the book and his story would help others battling the same issues feel less alone.

"It's a book about the rise and rise of my fame, all while battling this horrible addiction," Perry said. "It's dedicated to 'all of the sufferers out there. You know who you are.' And the point of it is to teach that addiction can hit everybody, and make people feel less alone."

Zoro and King had one of the best looking fights in One Piece's anime run to date, and it was especially impressive considering what we'd see from Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats as well. Zoro continues to poise himself as one of the strongest swordsmen in the world, but there's still no telling just how much further he'll go as he and the rest of the Straw Hats make their way towards the One Piece. As One Piece readies to bring the Wano Country arc to an end, it's time for the anime to set the stage for its take on the Final Saga of Eiichiro Oda's original manga series. In a new statement (via TMZ), Perry's family spoke of the joy that the late actor brought to the world as well as expressed their appreciation of the "tremendous outpouring of love" from Perry's friends and fans.
